Oración para preparar la Sala para la Eucaristía

Oh Dios Padre Todopoderoso y Eterno,

que te has fijado en mi para preparar esta Sala
donde celebraremos la Pascua,
como tu Hijo lo hizo con sus discípulos
Pedro y Juan el día de los Ácimos.

Haz que con la misma fe y obediencia que ellos

la prepararon para su Maestro
yo indigno siervo tuyo pueda prepararla
para que podamos encontrarnos todos contigo
y veamos en ella los signos de tu Amor

Por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, tu Hijo

que vive y reina contigo en la unidad del Espíritu Santo
y es Dios por los siglos de los siglos. Amen.

Lectura del Evangelio según san Lucas

Lc,22 7-13

Llegó el día de los Azimos, en el que se había de sacrificar el cordero de Pascua; y envió a Pedro
y a Juan, diciendo: «Id y preparadnos la Pascua para que la comamos.» Ellos le dijeron: «¿Dónde
quieres que la preparemos?» Les dijo: «Cuando entréis en la ciudad, os saldrá al paso un hombre
llevando un cántaro de agua; seguidle hasta la casa en que entre, y diréis al dueño de la casa: "El
Maestro te dice: ¿Dónde está la sala donde pueda comer la Pascua con mis discípulos?" El os
enseñará en el piso superior una sala grande, ya dispuesta; haced allí los preparativos.» Fueron y
lo encontraron tal como les había dicho, y prepararon la Pascua.

 Prayer to prepare the Room for the Eucharist
Oh God Almighty and Eternal Father,
that you have chosen me to prepare this Room
where we will celebrate your Passover,
as your Son did with his disciples
Peter and John on the day of the unleavened bread.

Grant me the same faith and obedience with which

they prepared the room for their Master,
so that, I, unworthy servant of yours, can prepare it
and we may gather here
and see in it the signs of your love.

For our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son

who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit
and it is God for ever and ever. Amen.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke

Lc,22 7-13

The day of Unleavened Bread came round, on which the Passover had to be sacrificed,
and he sent Peter and John, saying, 'Go and make the preparations for us to eat the Passover.'
They asked him, 'Where do you want us to prepare it?'
He said to them, 'Look, as you go into the city you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water.
Follow him into the house he enters and tell the owner of the house, "The Master says this to
you: Where is the room for me to eat the Passover with my disciples?"
The man will show you a large upper room furnished with couches. Make the preparations there.'
They set off and found everything as he had told them and prepared the Passover.
