Garmin International—Aviation Software Engineering Intern May 2018 – August 2018

• Wrote multiple programs that thoroughly tested aviation software for adherence to the level of
code quality expected by federal aviation regulatory agencies as well as laid out in DO-178C.
• Helped to determine the potential benefits of utilizing a new static runtime analysis framework
and recommend its continued use for future projects.
• Participated in thorough testing of design requirements in both software simulations and system
builds.
• Worked as part of a team in guiding the development of a product through the requirements,
development, testing, and review stages of software design up to and including release.
• Contributed to and participated in group meetings to stay up to date on new requirements as well
as progress reports.

Iowa State University—Academic Tutor April 2016—Present

• Led meetings with small groups twice a week to improve understanding and performance in
important classes such as Differential Equations, Intro to Ciruits, and Intro to Programming.

MicroCART Quadcopter Project—Ground Station Developer August 2018--Present

• Worked in a team of 5 other seniors to develop new features for a school-sponsored

autonomous quad copter project. In particular, worked on improving communication standards
between a base station and one or more connected quadcopter unit(s).
