your knowledge of basic filmmaking), (ii) Specialisation (select one if you’re sure
what you want to do, otherwise try to attempt all to get an idea!), (iii) General
knowledge(to test gen awareness)
3. The third part is optional and an aspirant can opt to skip it. But it contains bonus
points.
4. Some of the sections contain subjective questions along with the objective ones.

International and alumni Relations Student council:
International and alumni relations student council, a.k.a. IAR council is the student body
which comes under Dean IAR and bridges the gap between students and Alumni of the institute as
well as address the international affairs related to the students. Various teams under IAR council
leverages the alumni resource for the benefit of the insti, like Alumni relation cell, career
development cell, associations team. IAR student council also takes the responsibility of the Branding
of the institute and has a separate team (Institute branding cell) for it. Similarly, for the international
affairs, the council has International relations cell. In addition to these, the council has support teams
such as operations team, design team and mob-ops and web-ops managers. In addition to that, Peepal
Pol(Media production house) and Chennai36(Alumni Blog) comes under content development
vertical of the council.

Peepal Pol:
Peepal pol (Media Production house) act as a support team for other teams in the council (including
the office of Alumni Affairs) for their media requirement. But it works on its own projects for the
majority of the time and creates the content which is relevant to the institute student and alumni. Its
main focus is to connect with more and more alumni and students and bridge the gap between them.
Along with that it closely works with the Institute branding cell to create content which is helpful for
the branding of the institute and helps to reach the possible interest groups inside and outside Insti.

Team Structure and roles of the managers:


Peepal pol has two head positions, five chiefs of department positions and 20 managers’
position. The heads will guide, supervise and manage the team for various projects. The chief (of any
dept) will be highly skilled in that field and will train/guide his team in that field. Like ‘chief editor’
will be skilled in editing and motion graphics and will be training the editors under him and also act
as a referring point for all junior editors for any difficulties. Hence each vertical will be headed by its
chief.
Managers will be taken in the team as the creative managers and can apply for any
department of interest namely, cinematography, direction, editing, script writing, and production
management. All the managers will be introduced to basic filmmaking and video production. Apart
from that, they will learn about their own dept and its relation with other departments of the team.
