UG1242.F5K52623 1994 623.7'464--de20 94-5175 Front cover: Among the last F-4Ds in service was 66-7765, which was assigned to the 906th TFG at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. ft is shown here in the two tone gray paint scheme with special markings to help celebrate the Phantom’s thirtieth birthday. The aircraft originally had markings on the nose for the London, Ontario, International Air Show, but these were later changed to the Dayton Air and Trade Show. However, all of the other thirtieth anniversary markings remained the same. Earlier, when it was painted in the European 1 camouflage scheme, the 906th TFG gave the author a ride in this aircraft. It was during that flight that the rear cover photograph and other photos for Colors & Markings of the F-4D Phantom Il were taken. Rear cover: Details and colors in the front cockpit of an RF-4C are shown in this photograph that was taken shortly after the aircraft returned from Operation Desert Storm.
