2. General Requirements
The Scope of work covers the Comprehensive Annual maintenance of HP Servers, Blade-
Chassis and HP 3PAR F400, EVA 8000 Storage Area Network with Operating System
Level support, mentioned in Parts and Services listed in Section 1.3, Server/Storage
Hardware Description.
The duration of the AMC shall be 1 Year initially and subsequently extended annually by
mutual agreement. ASHGHAL reserves the right to invite fresh quotation at its discretion
any time during the duration of the comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract.
(1) The AMC duration shall be for 1 calendar year starting from the Commencement
Date as stated in the Contract Agreement.
(2) All new parts used for the repair of the equipment and ancillary materials will be
delivered, free of cost, including all necessary installation and setup required to
make the equipment operational. Delivery of all contracts of supply items shall be
to the premises of ASHGHAL or any other location indicated by ASHGHAL.
(3) As part of the AMC, a Preventive maintenance should be performed on the first
week of every Quarter. The Preventive Maintenance Service report should
contains a check list of the works carried out on all the hardware devices. If any
hardware issues found, it should be fixed/replaced as soon as possible. The
Service Report shall be signed off only after hardware issues fixed.
(4) Contractor shall provide qualified engineers and technicians to perform the
required maintenance services, having a minimum of 3 years of experience in the
similar field.
(5) During the preventive maintenance period, technician travel time, labors and
spares should be offered with NO additional cost. (The spare parts includes Disk
Drive / Processor /Motherboard / Power supply / RAM / Array Controller / Array
Controller Battery / LAN cards / HBA Card / Blade Chassis FANs, Interconnect
Switches, ILO, All Spare connected to Blade Chassis etc.)
(6) Any equipment removed from ASHGHAL offices for repair and not returned in
working conditions for a period of more than 2 days will require a suitable
replacement to be made available free of charge.
(7) Equipment tests will be carried out along with ASHGHAL (System Administration
Team), upon completion of maintenance activity.
(8) A Service Desk Telephone Number and email address should be provided for
ASHGHAL personnel to report any issues during 24 / 7.

(9) Contractor should provide the primary focal point of contact, Emergency
contact details and an escalation matrix.
(10) Contractor should maintain a repository of the spare hardware parts for the
HP devices mentioned in section 1.3 and its components inside Qatar.
(11) Contractor should response within 6 Hours once the Service Request is
logged to their Helpdesk Support Service.
(12) Contractor Should provide Standby Hardware if the repair or replacement time
slaps more than 24 hours
a. The Contractor must quote with a back to back support agreement from
HP.

5. Support Terms:
a. The Contractor should be able to provide Local Support on 24 x 7 x 365 basis
with maximum 6 hours response time
b. Contractor Should provide Standby Hardware if the repair or replacement time
slaps is more than 24 hours
c. Any equipment removed from ASHGHAL offices for repair and not returned in
working conditions for a period of more than 2 days will require a suitable
replacement to be made available free of charge.
