Contenidos: when it is sunny, I wear (blue jeans, red shorts, white and green t- shirt, etc).
When it is rainy, I wear (blue raincoat, light blue rain boots)
When it is cold, I wear ( green sweater, blue jeans,brown boots, etc)

Teaching approach: this lesson is based on the Natural approach, and organized through the PPP
procedure.

Materials and resources: Puppets made of foamy, color pencils, scissors, glue, photocopies.

Setting arrangement: Students will be sitting on the floor and on the chairs. Commented [4]:

Cooperative work: Students play together and share their materials.

Possible problems during the class: If students get too excited I will let them know by clapping
hands.

Potential language problems: I will use techniques as gestures, miming, or pointing to pictures
to be understood. I will try not to speak in Spanish.

Assessment: what will be assessed and how: I will give them the time to elaborate the instructions.
I will observe them and hear if they can produce chunks of a language.

Routine: 5 min.

Purpose to start the lesson, get students into the mood for work.

I greet the students “ Hello, children hello children, how are you, how are you? And showing
pictures of happy or sad they will answer.. I´m happy or I´m sad. Commented [A5]:

Warm – up: 10min:

Purpose: To introduce the topic and some teaching points.

Teacher shows pictures of a sun, drop of water and snow –

Teacher shows the picture of a the sun and says.. (taking out clothes from a bag) when it is sunny I
wear a hat, sunglasses, etc.. then she takes a picture of a drop of water and says when it`s raining .. I
take a blue raincoat and a black umbrella. And last she takes a picture of snow and says.. when it`s
cold I wear a grey coat, brown gloves..etc..
Teacher puts also the emphasis on the colours.

Transition: Now, let´s sit


and dress up puppets
according to the climate. Commented [A6]: You can do some more drilling before they
get to the practice stage.

Presentation: 10 min.
Teacher displays the different clothes and two puppets (one for each child). She shows a picture of a
sun and says... choose clothes for a sunny day (she uses miming and gestures to be understood)

Once they dressed up the puppets, students will try to describe the clothes they are wearing with the
help of the teacher. Teacher points .. He wears (gives students time ..a white T shirt and they reapet
repeat white T shirt...they take out the clothes and do the activity again.

Transition: Ok, now lets take colour pencils and let´s colour our puppets.. (teacher uses gestures.
She hands in a photocopy).
Activity: 15 min (teacher says .. colour the hat red and purple...

Transition: Well, let´s stick the clothes! And put the puppet inside the copybook.

Closure: And now it´s time to put everything away! … colour pencils, glue..
