RULES
Machi Koro: Millionaire’s Row requires a copy of the base game Machi
Koro to play. This expansion follows the same rules as the base game with
important differences that add variety to the game!

PREPARE THE MARKETPLACE

1) Shuffle all the non-Starting
Establishments and Major
Establishments from Machi Koro
and Machi Koro: Millionaire’s Row
to make a single draw deck.
2) Draw cards from the deck
to form a face-up line
of Establishments to create
the marketplace (it is suggested
that you arrange these in order of
die roll from smallest number on the left to largest on the right).
3) If you draw a copy of a card that is already in the marketplace, simply
stack the new card on top of the old one.
4) Once you have 10 unique Establishments in the line, stop drawing cards
as the marketplace is complete. The game begins with these 10
Establishments.
REPLENISH THE MARKETPLACE
1) If during the game, there are
less than 10 unique
Establishments available in the
marketplace, the marketplace is
immediately replenished.
2) Draw card(s) from the deck by the same rules as during game setup
until you have 10 unique Establishments.
3) If the draw deck runs out, the marketplace will no longer be refilled for
the remainder of the game.
Special Note: If there are Major Establishments in the market that can
no longer be purchased (because all players own a copy and therefore
may not purchase them), remove any available copies from the market
and replenish the market to 10 unique Establishments. When replenishing
the market, if a Major Establishment that can no longer be purchased is
drawn from the draw deck, discard it immediately and draw a new
Establishment from the draw deck.
RENOVATION (TOKENS)
Some cards in Machi Koro: Millionaire’s Row refer to cards
being “renovated”. When one of your cards is under
renovation, place one of the Renovation tokens on the card
to help all players note which of your cards are active and
which are being renovated.
Should you run out of Renovation tokens in a game, turn any additional
cards sidewise to note they are being renovated.
RENOVATION (MECHANICS)
When one of your cards is closed for renovation, place
a Renovation token on that Establishment. The next
time a roll would activate this Establishment and earn
income, remove the token instead, while not earning
any coins. Card color rules still apply, so Renovation
tokens may only be removed from Green and Purple
Establishments on your own roll, while Renovation
tokens on Red and Blue Establishments may be
removed on other players’ rolls.
NOTES ON THE ESTABLISHMENTS
Renovation Company
The Renovation Company requires you to choose one building type (e.g.
“Vineyard”, “Cheese Factory”, etc) to close for renovation. All copies of
ALL players’ Establishments of that building will be closed for renovation
(See Renovation Mechanics).
CREDITS
Molly has activated her Renovation Company and chosen to close
Cheese Factories for renovation. Molly doesn’t have any Cheese
Game Design: Masao Suganuma
Factories, but Nate had 3 copies, and Jerry has 2. Molly receives 3
coins from Nate and 2 coins from Jerry, and all of their Cheese Game Development: Nathan McNair and Molly Wardlaw
Factories are closed for renovation.

whom is up to you. So, why not load your best friend
up with your Loan Offices?
Note: The Moving Company can be given to other players.
Tech Startup
At the end of every turn (after you’ve constructed the
Tech Startup) you may place 1 coin from your supply
onto this card. When this card is activated, all players
must pay you coins equal to the number of coins on
this card.
Note: You can never retrieve money that has been placed on the Tech
Startup. Once you’ve invested it you cannot use the money to buy
Establishments or pay other players if you owe them money.
Park
When the Park is activated, take all of the coins that
every player has in their supply and divide them evenly
among all players. If there is an uneven number of
coins, take coins from the bank to make it even.
