Game Day Duties

Every week of our SEPEP Programme your game day duties will include:
 Tasks outlined by your committee (selection, publicity, fixtures etc.)
 Responsibilities aligned with your selected role for that particular week
 Game play

Each week your team will have to allocate one member each to an assigned role and
complete the responsibilities associated with that role during the team’s bye rounds. Below
is a list of the roles to be performed each week as well as an outline of what is expected
from each specific role.

Game Day Role Responsibilities:

Assessor:
- Choose a student to assess
- Filling out the Game Skills Assessment p.10 sheet peer assess students on their game
performance
- Handing it to Selection at the end of the lesson

Umpire:
- Officiating game play and line calls during byes
- Being loud, clear and confident in your calls

Scorer:
- Score games during byes
- Fill out score sheet

Coach:
- Organise and take training sessions for the team
- Assist with team tactics
 - Organise team positions

Captain:
- Take coin toss before the start of the game
- Assist with team tactics
- Lead the team and create a unified group when playing games

Photographer:
- Take photos/videos of games when your team is not playing
- Email the best photos/videos to publicity and festivities for the reports and end of
year highlights package

Statistician:
- Take stats for a game during your team’s bye round
- Key stats include: aces, assists, kills, blocks, attacks (Volleyball Statistics Tips)
- Record these and email them to publicity for match reports
