FORMA AFIRMATIVA
Todos significan obligación en su forma afirmativa. La diferencia entre
HAVE TO Y MUST es el tipo de obligación.
HAVE TO: Una obligación externa, reglas, leyes. Es algo que si no haces tiene
consecuencias.
Ejemplo: Si no llegas a tiempo pierdes el vuelo.
Si no pagas los impuestos te multan.
MUST: Algo que otra persona quieres que alga fuertemente. Obligación personal.
Ejemplo: Si vienes a Cádiz de vacaciones, tienes que visitarme.
FORMA NEGATIVA
DON´T HAVE TO, DOESN´T HAVE TO, DIDN´T HAVE TO: Significan que no se está
obligado a.
Ejemplo: Ella no tiene que ir
FORMA INTERROGATIVA
DO (YOU) HAVE TO , DOES (SHE) HAVE TO, DID (YOU) HAVE TO: Significa igual
que en afirmativa.
MUST (YOU)+VERBO: significa igual que en afirmativa.
FORMA NEGATIVA
Significa no poder.
Ejemplo: I can´t speak five languages.
I couldn´t speak five lagunguages.
I won´t be able to speak five languages
SHOULD, OUGTH TO
AFIRMATIVA
Se traduciría por “deber”.
Ejemplo: Debería llamar a mis padres mas amenudo. I shoul call my parents more
often./I ought to call my parents mor often.
NEGATIVA
Significa no deber
Ejemplo: No debería trabajar tan duro. You shouldn´t work so hard./ You ought not
to work so hard.
INTERROGATIVA
Significa pedir una recomendación.
Ejemplo: Deberíamos dejar una propina. Should we leave a tip?/ Ought we leave a
tip?
ALLOW, BE ALLOWED TO
AFIRMATIVA
Se traduciría por “tener permiso”
Ejemplo: Yo tengo permiso para salir los fines de semana. I am allowed to go on
weekends.
NEGATIVA
Sería “no permitir, no tener permiso”
Ejemplo: No se permite mascar chicle en la escuela. You are not allowed to chew
gum at school.
INTERROGATIVA
Sería “se permite?”
Ejemplo: Se permite llevar armas en tu país?. Are yo allowed to bear arms in your
country?

Significa necesitar
