1.0 INTRODUCTION- TRAINING ORGANIZATION

1.1 INTRODUCTION

Electro-Serv (Pvt) Ltd commenced its operations in 1987, as an Electrical Engineering Company,

specializing in all aspects of product support to the industry in the field of Automation and Motor

Control.

Being a major Sri Lankan Mechanical and Electrical Project Services Group, the following in-

house specialist divisions of the group provides excellent specialized services to its industrial and

commercial clientele.

Vision of this organization is to become the leader in providing excellent engineering services for

PRODUCT SUPPORT

This specialized division in the major unit which serves the industry in all its specialist requirement

of electrical switch gear products used in buildings and industry.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

Industrial training division conducts in-house product training programs at the Electro Serv

Industrial Automation Training Centre for practicing Engineers and Technicians with main

emphasis on practical Training in Industrial Automation in the field of Electrical Engineering.

INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION AND MOTOR CONTROL

This unit consisting of several overseas-trained engineers provides complete hardware and software

support for the entire range of electric electronic and pneumatic automation and control products

used on buildings and industry. These include PLC’s Speed Drives, Soft Starters and other relater

controllers.

PROJECT EXECUTION

This unit engages chiefly in Turnkey Industrial Project execution and major commercial building

project contracting which demand a high level of engineering input.

SWITCHBOARD ASSEMBLY

This unit caters for the total requirements of the projects contraction in its needs of power

switchboard and motor control centers as well as assembling Supplying switchboard and motor

control centers to other prestigious clientele.

2.0 TRAINING EXPERIENCES

2.1 INTRODUCTION

Electro-Serv has many different divisions. However, I had some opportunity to train in some of

them. According to my organization’s training schedule, I worked four divisions. From them I got

many experiences. But I have a confusion that how I’m going to present them in to this report

clearly. Instead of explain them according to training- division I like to present them according to

knowledge gained. Because if I follow the previous method sometimes I have to repeat the some

experience (on products and equipments) again and again. So I am going to follow the second

method and end of the each topic I planned to give the related experience of them. Before

proceeding to that, here is the training schedule.
