How Can One Help Islam?

Indeed, one of the reasons for the oppression and atrocities that the Muslims around the globe are
facing today is that we are heading towards Qiyamah.

One cannot ignore the fact that oppression is a result of one’s weakness, which is a crime and it’s
consequence is death, and that in reality is a punishment.

Losing reliance in Allah, and disbelieving in the fact that everything that happens, happens by the
will of Allah, and not turning to Allah for the solution to every problem that one faces, be it related
to health or wealth, physical or spiritual, and not realising that the solution to all problems, be it
worldly or related to the hereafter lie in following the Sunnah, and not being worried about
implementing the Sunnah in our lives, and not realising that bliss lies in following the
commandments of Muhammad (PBUH) the last messenger of Allah, and separating politics from
Islam and not believing in the Islamic system of society [Shariah and Khilafah] and distancing
oneself from Jihad, according to the Qur’an, these are the reasons for the widespread fitnas in the
Muslim world.

[Surah Ar-Rum (41)]

“ Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] of what the hands of people
have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that
perhaps they will return [to righteousness].”

Had the Muslim Ummah obeyed the Shari'ah of Allah pertaining to doctrine, deeds, manners,
trade/business, society and Jihad, we wouldn’t be facing these days of humiliation today.

The serious issues that the Muslim Ummah is facing today require immediate attention because of
their importance and effects.

The first and most important issue is that of establishing the Shari'ah of Allah.

Till the time the Shari'ah of Allah, the Hudood and Ta’ziraat [limits and punishments in accordance
with Shari’ah], the Fardh and Waajib [obligatory and necessary] are established, along with the
dignity and domination of Islam, we will not witness the loftiness, respect and honour we are
longing for.

It has been recorded in Tafseer Ibn Katheer with reference to Abu Aaliyah that:

“One who disobeys Allah Ta’alaa, is the one who causes fitnah [turmoil] on the land, because the
presence of peace and the land being free from chaos itself is a blessing from Allah Ta’alaa.”

And this is why it has been narrated in a Hadith from Abu Dawood that:

“The establishment of a single Hadd from among the Hudood’Allah is better in my sight compared
to a rain that lasts for a 40 days”
This means that the benefit that the rain brings to the earth after it has been raining for a span of
40 days, the greenery that spreads around as a result of it, the flowers that blossom due to it, the
embellishment that follows the rain is nothing as compared to the immense Barakah that Allah
bestows on the land when even a single Hadd [Rule] is established on the land.

The reason for this tremendous reward is that when the Hudood’Allah are established, the entire
population, or majority of them or most of them, are saved from evil.

When evil sins in a land start increasing, the land becomes devoid of the blessings that are
bestowed from the sky and the blessings that are procured from the earth.

The second most important issue is that of man-made laws.

In terms of leadership and governance, the Muslims are in a state of orphanhood. Due to the
absence of the Islamic system of governance i.e. “Khilafah”, the Muslim world is going through
immense miserableness, which is extremely disheartening. Such kind of helplessness was never
before seen. This is the reason that the kuffar are taking advantage of the situation of the Muslim
Ummah and want to commit every atrocity against the Muslims without oversight.

The third issue is that of Jihad.

With regard to Jihad, there’s an important and clear command from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Umar Ibn Khattab [R.A] narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“When you become engaged in business [which involves riba'], and become busy in farming, and
when agriculture will become everything to you, and when you will abandon Jihad, then Allah will
bring upon you humiliation that will only end when you return to your Deen completely.”

The Ulema-e-Tafseer have said that in this Hadith, business and agriculture have not been declared
wrong, but what the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has said is that when business and farming
become the primary concern of the Muslims, when the world is what they start chasing, thinking
that this is everything for them, and when they start preferring the world over the Hereafter, and
start displeasing Allah insofar as they even turn away from Jihad, then this matter is indeed
repugnant and fallacious.

This very fallacy and wrongdoing is the reason that the Muslim Ummah is facing humiliation and
misery, which are being witnessed by one and all.

The next issue is that of the economy.

The Muslim world that has been divided due to the borders in different democratic countries, is
suffering economically, so much so that most are even compelled to commit suicide due to lack of
money. All this is due to the rulers who worship the luxuries of this world. The last possession of
any human is his life, and his survival perpetually depends on the need of his stomach. When the
morsel of a poor person goes into the mouth of a ruler, it is not the poverty that vanishes but the
poor. This poverty of the poor is the very reason that makes the kaafir a staunch one. The weak
Muslim is thus driven farther away from his religion, and the one who is steadfast on his religion is
indulged in problems. Due to this system, the poor is becoming more poor and the rich are
becoming richer day by day.

In a broader perspective, these are the four primary issues that every single Muslim is facing.

If we are finding ways to overcome these problems, it must be known that the only solution lies in
the establishment of Khilafah, the political system of Islam must be brought into practice again,
and the necessary measures to strengthen the economy must be taken.

But in this time, even if we consider the establishment of Shari’ah as the only option, then it will
take a lot of time for us to implement it, as we are still caged under democracy. But Syria, Iraq,
Palestine, Kashmir, Bosnia, Chechnya, Xinjiang, Afghanistan, Hindustan and Burma are in an
emergency situation and cannot wait for us to establish the Shar'ah of Allah.

These wounded parts of the Muslim body are in dire need of a balm that will heal its deep wounds,
and the only way towards healing these wounds is Jihad.

Jihad in today’s situation is the only solution which if practiced according to Shari’ah and all it’s
obligations are fulfilled, then all problems of the Muslim world will automatically be eradicated.

To understand the miracles that follow the ‘Jihadi operations’, one does not need to refer to a book
of complex philosophy. Instead, he must keep in mind that this was the way by which the
establishment of the State of Islam was possible in the blessed city of Madina.

This was the path through which the first Khalifah chose to extinguish the fire of fitna. This is the
path that was chosen by Umar Farooq, may Allah accept him, to spread the boundaries of the State
of Islam to Asia, Africa and Europe.

This Jihad had broken the backbone of the Tartars who used to spread fitna. This Jihad had freed
Masjid al-Aqsa from the oppression of the Nusayris. This Jihad had demolished the root of shirk,
the Hindu temple, by crushing it and razing it down to the ground. Through Jihad the eradication
of those who become an obstacle in the path of establishment of the Khilafah is possible. Through
this Jihad, the despotic and tyrannical sultanate of Britain was destroyed in the Atlantic. Through
Jihad, the Soviet Union was buried in the snowclad mountains of Afghanistan. Through this Jihad,
‘The Islamic Emirate’ was established in Afghanistan.

This Jihad had brought about the fall of the evil king of Sindh, Raja Dahir.

This Jihad had razed to dust the Buddhist idols in Afghanistan which were spreading their impurity
on the land of Allah, who is to be worshipped alone without associating any partners with Him.

Even today, it is only Jihad that can bring to justice the Buddhist terrorists who killed the Burmese
Muslims and are responsible for their genocide.

This Jihad can bring an end to the fitna of Daesh.

Through this Jihad, Palestine can be freed, and through this Jihad, Kashmir can conquered.

Through this Jihad, the fitna of democracy can be eradicated and the Muslim world can peacefully
reside under the “Islamic Khilafah”.
