ii. Junior students: 15/11/18 during tutorial. until Tuesday 11 Dec 2018. The most likely venue for this year is Gopeng rainforest in Perak. This field trip
is compulsory to all senior biologists as it complements the requirements for Paper 5 and chapter 18

What you need to know???
1. CAIE AS and A Level Mathematics Syllabus 2020, 2021 and 2022 (9709)
• Changes to option routes through the qualification (including the removal of the Mechanics 2 option)
2. CAIE AS and A Level Further Mathematics 2020, 2021 and 2022 (9231)
From 2020 the option of a Cambridge Assessment International AS Level qualification is available as well as
the A Level qualification. The AS Level will allow a choice of applied mathematics: all students must study
Further Pure Mathematics 1 and choose one of either Further Probability & Statistics of Further Mechanics.
The assessment of the CAIE AS and A Level Maths from 2020 is based on options from 4 written papers that
are outlined below.
Students must take 2 units for the AS Level qualification or 4 units for the full A Level qualification.
Components are:
AS Level:
Paper 1 and Paper 3 (Further Pure Mathematics 1 and Further Mechanics)
Or
Paper 1 and Paper 4 (Further Pure Mathematics 1 and Further Probability and Statistics)
A Level:
Paper 1: Further Pure Mathematics 1
Paper 2: Further Pure Mathematics 2
Paper 3: Further Mechanics
Paper 4: Further Probability and Statistics
