1. Participants must submit by post or by hand the
completed and signed Registration Form along
with a photocopy of the age proof to the address
given below.

2. Kindly enclose a passport size photo of the
participants.
3. The registration fee is Rs. 175/-. this can be paid
by cash / cheque / DD in favour of Tanglewood
Concepts, payable at Bangalore, at any branch of
the ICICI Bank. If the fee is directly deposited in
the bank please attach the proof of payment
(Photocopy of the cheque/DD or photocopy of the
challan for cash deposit).

4. For spot registration candidates should arrive at
the venue 1 hour before the event starts. This
counter closes 15 minutes before the starting
time.
5. The fees for the spot registration is Rs. 400/-.
This must be paid by cash or DD.
Rules:
1. This competition is only for students who are
studying in the classes from standard 1 to
standard 10 during the academic year 2007 to
2008.
2. Participants above the age of 17 are NOT
ELIGIBLE.
3. We strongly suggest that participants do not
eschew School activities to attend any of the
contests of Tanglewood Concepts.
4. Those participants who talk or communicate to
each other any way or indulge in any other
malpractice will be disqualified immediately.
5. Participants are not allowed to bring any items
into the hall. Water if brought in must be brought
in sealed containers to avoid spilling.
6. All the words given for the contest must be spelt
according to the British English.

2007 ENGLISH SPELLING CONTEST

• When a participant is requested to spell a word, it is
recommended that he/she pronounces the word The 2007 National Spelling Word Competition

participant.
• Judges may disqualify a participant who does not
make an attempt to spell a word.
• When a participant spells a word incorrectly he/she
cannot proceed further in the competition. The
remaining participants continue till only 2
participants remain. They continue spelling the
words given till one participant gives a wrong
answer. The second participant is give a chance to
spell the same word. If he/she spells it right he/she
is given one more word to spell. If he/she spells it
right he/she is declared the Champion. CHAMPIONSHIP
• Any doubts relating to spelling of a word must be
