PRIMARY
HEALTH CARE
(PHC)
CENTRES:
HELP has three
PHC centres one
each at Neelam
Colony, Khuda Ki
Basti, and Lower Gizri in Karachi. These centres
provide primary health care facilities including
antenatal and post natal checkups, treatment of
common illnesses, immunization of children under 5
and women of reproductive ages, health education
and growth monitoring of children. These centres
have linkages with Government operated secondary
and tertiary health care facilities. Patients in need of
referral are sent to these facilities.
HELP is a non-
government, Community
Based Primary Health
Care and Education
Programme working in
various Katchi Abadies of
Karachi and Sanghar and has tax exemption status.
HELP comprises of professionals including doctors,
social workers, chartered accountants, and lawyers,
committed to the development of Primary Health
Care.

implement replicable models of health promotion,
health delivery and education for women and
children”
HOME SCHOOLS
With the financial assistance of UNWG, HELP
opened 3 home schools in Ghaggar located in Bin
Qasim town, Karachi. Each Home school is catering
to 20 girls aged 7 to 14 years. These girls had never
been to the schools before.
TRAININGS:
HELP's Nutrition Institute
has been involved in
training on of government
and non-government
health workers. HELP has
also conducted trainings
for the HCP of Agha Khan
Health Services Pakistan. It has conducted trainings
of Government Health care workers in collaboration
with UNICEF, WFP and WHO. Trainings have been
conducted for HELP's own staff including doctors,
LHVs, LHW's, Nutrition Counselors, Health Workers
and Social Mobilizers.
Recently HELP Conducted trainings for:
HCP of Merlin on management of stabilization
centre.
Community workers of TRDP in District Tharparkar
on integrating Nutrition and WASH.
Community workers of BRAC Pakistan in Shireen
Jinnah Colony, Karachi on Primary Health Care.
HCP of Pakistan Rangers, Sadhao region, District
Sanghar on identification of malnourished children.
