All Virginia Audition Etude - Percussion Instructions / Diagram
Instrument Set-up: [ From auditionee’s left to right (as in diagram) ]

optional personal snare drum, provided snare drum, xylophone, 32” timp, 29” timp, 26” timp, 23” timp.

Use four (4) Music Stands: In front of and in between the 29” and 26” timpani; in front of the xylophone; in front of the
provided snare drum; in front of the optional personal snare drum

Use two (2) Stick Trays: 1. Between the xylophone and 32” timpani [ timpani mallets ]
2. In front of and in between xylophone and provided SD [ snare sticks, xylo mallets (4) ]

-Auditionee may use a personal Snare Drum. Place it to the left of the provided snare drum as you enter the audition room.
-Auditionee is responsible for switching off the snares on provided drum if they are using a personal drum.
-Auditionee may NOT adjust the timpani pedals in the audition room, the timpani will already be tuned for the audition.
-Auditionee may choose to use or not use the provided seat to play timpani.
