BETWEEN: New Zealand First a registered Political Party;

the Party

AND: The undersigned a Member of the Board of New

Zealand First;

the Board Member.

a) The Board Member has been elected on to the Board by the AGM of the party
b) The Board Member acknowledges this is a position of trust and confidence and that they
owe a duty to the party to keep the deliberations, decisions and election plans of the party
confidential.
c) The Board Member agrees the President, Leader and Deputy leader are the only persons
authorised to speak on behalf of the Party.
d) The Board Member acknowledges it would be unfair for the board member to disclose the
Board deliberations, decisions and election plans except as approved by the Board.
e) The Board Member further acknowledges that the Board Member as part of the duty owed
arising from the trust placed in them by the party membership voting for them that they will
not be associated with any other Political Party until at least three months after the next
general election.
f) The Board member further acknowledges that the party membership lists are confidential
and the Board member is required to protect the privacy of all members, donors, associates
and supporters personal information.
g) The Board Member agrees to record these obligations formally in this document as a binding
contract enforceable in the Courts.

The Board Member agrees:

1. That being a member of the Party Board is a position of trust and confidence
2. To keep all deliberations, decisions and election plans of the Board confidential to Board
Members and to only disclose the same as agreed and instructed by the Board.
3. The membership lists are confidential and the Board Member will protect the privacy rights
of party members, donors, associates and supporters.
4. The Board Member shall have no associations with any other Political Party (registered or
proposed to be registered) until three (3) months after the next general election.
