Interpret the concepts of mental health and psychological well-
being in everyday observations about mental health problems during
adolescence. (EsP-PD11/12MHWB-Ih-7.1)
1. Explain the concepts of mental health and psychological
well-being
2. Understand the significance of the concepts in order to be
mentally healthy everyday.
II. CONTENTS AND MATERIALS
A. Topic: Mental Health and Well-Being in Middle and Late Adolescence
B. References: Personal Development 2016 Edition, Reader p.45-48
C. Additional Materials: Laptop, TV monitor

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activity
1. Review
a. Students will share to the class the concepts on
previous lessons on the two types of mind-mapping
techniques.
2. Motivation
How do stay mentally healthy everyday?
B. Activity
Students answer the activity in pairs on their reader module
page 45.

C. Analysis
1. Students share to the class their answers in their activity.
Ask Students:
a. What are the concepts of mental health and
psychological well-being?
b. Why do you think that this concepts are needed to
stay mentally healthy?
c. How does it helps to cope up problems during
adolescence?
d. How does it help an individual to enhance their
self-esteem?
D. Abstraction
Ask students:
1. What are the concepts of psychological well-being?
2. Why is it important to be mentally healthy?

E. Application
How does psychological well-being affect your personal growth
and development as a human person?

IV. EVALUATION
1. Explain the concepts of psychological well-being. (5pts)
2. What are the essence of the concepts to maintain an
individual mental health?

V. ASSIGNMENT:

Identify your own vulnerabilities as an adolescence.
