Abstract

The Block Education Officer is maintaining all the school student’s information
manually. which is a very tedious job to over come from this problem we are introducing the new
software which full fills all the requirements to maintain the student’s records and includes each
and every information about the student.

We can store all villages’ student information at one place which helps to know the
average literacy of a particular city, town, village etc. We can also know the total number of
student in each city that will provide us to how much number of girls and boys are studying in a
particular Taluk.

We can also access the data or information of a particular student via Internet. We are
developing a website through which authorized persons can login to over website and they can
access the student’s information.
 1.INTRODUCTION

Our project aim is to collect all the school students’ information studying in a particular village,
town, city etc. There are number of schools in different villages which are being handled by
BEO. This deals with the activities like maintaining all the related information of particular
student right from the time of his/her admissions. All the information about students will be
maintained by the officials of BEO manually, which is a very tedious job to store and retrieve the
records manually.
So we are coming up with software which is being developed keeping all the short comings of
the present system into the mind.
This will be consisting of advantages like
1 Entering wrong information about particular student will be
avoided.
2 Retrieving of information about a particular student will be done
easily.
3. Information of a particular student will be got from remote place
through Internet, which will help the companies to know about
his/her school background.
4. Educational status of particular city will be identified easily as our
Software will provide the average of number of students passed and
failed out of attended.

2.SYSTEM STUDY
 Present System

At present the BEO is maintaining the student records manually, which is very
tedious job because it is time consuming process and needed more man power to maintain
registers.
They are maintaining the separate registers like admission register, attendance register
examination register, result register etc.
They are facing the many problems to store the data and retrieve the data at
particular time, when we are interested to know the information about particular student in an
important time.

 Disadvantages of Present System:

1. Present system is not a computerized:

At present they are maintaining the records manually in registers.

2. Required more human efforts in maintaining the Student related information:

To maintain separate registers requires more number of workers and efforts.

3. Time consuming:

Present system requires lots of time to maintain all related information in register.

4. Redundancy: To maintain the register there is a need to enter the same information of

student multiple times. Like in admission register, result register etc.

5. Unauthorized persons may have chance to access the information:

Present system not providing any security because They were maintaining the

records in register, so can access the information without authorized person

permission.
 7. At the time of any enquiries about a particular student who is studying under the

observation of BEO, it becomes vary tedious job for the BEO employees to retrieve

his/her manually stored information.

 PROPOSED SYSTEM

Our proposed system fulfills all the requirements to maintain the student’s records, which
includes each and every information about the student. We can store all villages’ student
information at one place which helps to know the average literacy of a particular city, town,
village etc.

We can also know the total number of student in each city that will provide us to how
much number of girls and boys are studying in a particular Taluk. We can also access the data or
information of a particular student via Internet.

We are providing the following information about the student through our software:

Name of the village, Name of the school, Medium, type of the school, Register no, Name of the
student, Date of birth, Gender, Class of the student, caste, Fees information, Previous year result,
Attendance, Date of admission, and Date of leaving etc.
