To whom it may concern:

I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Jessica Moreno. I have known Jessica for the
past 3 years, as she has taken the following courses that I teach: Entrepreneurship, Accounting, and Wall
Street. I have interacted as well with Jessica through the sports she has taken. As her teacher, I have had an
opportunity to observe her participation and interaction in class and to evaluate Jessica’s knowledge of the
subjects taught in class, as well as her competitiveness. Jessica is an outstanding student in all respects.
Jessica has proven that through hard work, follow through, teamwork, she can accomplish tasks in a
courteous and timely manner.
Jessica has been standing out since day one. During her tenth grade year, the students are giving
instructions to create a business, any kind of business. Jessica and a partner created a Cupcake business and
actually made it to NFTE 25 finalists. Although Jessica did not receive first place, she was able to gain
experience and knowledge. Jessica is well equipped to grow from challenges that she is presented with. Her
passion, resilience and communication skills, prepare her for the challenge she will soon embark.
I strongly believe that Jessica will be an excellent asset added to the University. Jessica has
conquered everything that has been put in her path. Her GPA is one of the highest at Foshay Learning
Center, considering that she plays sports and volunteers in various places. She has joined soccer and then
moves on to swimming. Joining a team is important to the development of someone’s character. Joining a
team helps to build communication skills, helps to cooperate with others, and it takes leadership to play in a
team. Doing sports have taught Jessica how to be a communicator, be patient, and a leader. She also
volunteers at Adventure Time, in which she tutors kids from k-5. This has made Jessica patient, caring, and
has taught her how to manage her time well. Without time management and motivation she would not be
able to accomplish everything she has accomplished so far. I know she will be motivated to take on any
challenge that she is put in front.
