Daily Promises of God

for  educators Psalm 119:57-58

NIV  -­‐ You  are  my  portion,  Lord;   I  have  promised  to  obey  your  words. I  have  sought  your  face  
with  all  my  heart; be  gracious  to  me  according  to  your  promise.

RSV -­‐ The  Lord  is  my  portion; I  promise  to  keep  thy  words. I  entreat  thy  favor  with  all  my  
heart; be  gracious  to  me  according  to  thy  promise.

KJV -­‐ Thou  art  my  portion,  O  Lord:  I  have  said  that  I  would  keep  thy  words.   I  intreated  thy  
favour  with  my  whole  heart:  be  merciful  unto  me  according  to  thy  word.

Note to the educator

Sometimes  we  think  little  things  are  not  prayer  worthy.  Have  you  ever  prayed  to  find  lost  items

at  school  or  for  students  who  are  sleeping  in  class?  Every  little  thing  that  happens  in  our  lives  
matters  to  God.  It’s  unfathomable  to  us  as  human  beings,  but  He  is  even  concerned  for  the  
little  sparrow!  (Matt.  10:31)  Seek  His  Face  with  all  your  heart.  Call  upon  His  wonderful  ways,  
even  for  the  small  things.    Also,  be  sensitive  to  the  little  needs  of  your  students.  They  can’t  
learn  when  they  are  upset  about  things  that  are  important  to  them.  Be  like  Jesus  and  be

merciful  to  them  because  He  has  been  m erciful  to  us.  Be  gracious  to  your  colleagues,  because  
He  has  been  gracious  to  us.
