IPhone XS? Never Heard Of Her, It’s The IPhone XR Now

Recently the new iPhone XR and iPhone XR max has been released. The new phone costs $749. This may seem like a lot to some people, but the
Google Pixel 3 is $50 more than the new iPhone. The new iPhones have changed drastically since the very beginning. Just like the iPhone XS the
phone has the same A12 Bionic processor. Also, the same 7 megapixel camera has stayed the same from the iPhone XS. The new phone is not the
same as the other phones. Differently, the phone is water resistant, and it can also wirelessly charge. Sadly, all of the new recent iPhones no longer
have headphone jacks. The only way to listen to music is to get a specific headphone set. The back of the phone comes with the following colors:
White, black, blue, yellow, coral, and red. Lastly, the battery has more power than the other iPhone before it. For example, the iPhone XR has 2,942

Margaret Morris was given rats at a lab in the University of Wales in Australia. To test their mood change from food. The rats that were given
junk food for weeks could hardly remember what the food looked like after it was moved.Then the rats that were given fruits and vegetables were
very smart and could tell what the food looked and smelled like after the food was moved. Magret was also given this test to find out that healthy
food will help you control your digestion and make you feel better and healthier food will give you more energy.
Not that long ago scientist have figured out that your stomach will talk back to your brain . You have bacteria in your stomach and that
bacteria will help you stomach break down the food you eat. But if you are eating a lot of salty or sugary food they will kill the bacteria and when
you eat the healthy foods your stomach will have a harder time breaking down these foods and will take a longer time to digest. Also getting read of
those bacterias can cause disorders and even depression.
A man named Rob Knight is a scientist at the university of california in san diego and Rob has seen what is inside the bacteria in people's
stomachs and may be a result to diseases. So know you know what food you need to put into your body and what foods you should not put a lot of in
your body maybe your body will feel a lot better once you know how to take care of it.

The Life of an Old Baobab Tree

Baobab trees are 55 feet tall and 1,500 years old. Scientists just discovered that some of the Baobab trees have been
dying, They have been dying due to climate change in Africa. The Baobab trees look like someone tipped an old oak tree
upside down because their branches look like roots. Africa sets a nickname for the old Baobab tree they call it “The Tree Of
Life”, though in 2005 the scientist starts surveying about the old trees and discover they have been dying cause the climate they
live in has changed over time. The Baobab trees cannot live in a different environment. Even enough change can cause bad
times for the plant that live in the same climate. Baobabs are the biggest trees in Africa but now that the climate is changing
the Baobab trees cannot survive in different conditions. The Tree’s stretch 62 feet into the sky. They still are looking for
answers on why and how they’re dying and try to recover some studies.

Endangered White Rhino Dies

On March 19, 2018 Sudan, the world's last male white rhino died at OL Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, Africa.The world is still mourning his
death, he was 45 years old when he died due to poor health but was being treated for age related issues
People find it hard to grip with the fact that he is gone forever. Sudan “stole the hearts of many people”. Leading up to the day of his death
armed guards to make sure he was safe from poachers.
Thousands of white rhinos used to move freely in Africa but the are now nearly extinct, due to poachers killing them for their horns. Their
horns are used in medicines and in crafts, now there are only two white rhinos left in the world. Both of which are females, sudan’s daughter and
granddaughter.
Conservationist’s hope the white rhino’s kind will have a future. They have been developing a new reproductive technique using genetic parts
from the dead white rhinos.

Gummy Worm Punch Recipe

Ingredients:
● 4 cups of unsweetened apple juice
● 4 cups of orange juice
● ⅔ cup thawed lemonade concentrate
● 2 cups water
● 20 gummy worms
● 4 cups of chilled lemon-lime soda
Directions:
● Combine the apple juice, orange juice, and lemonade concentrate.
● Pour water into a 1-cup juice mixture and then into a 5-cup ring mold
● Add gummy worms
● Freeze until solid
● Meanwhile, refrigerate juice mixture until chilled
● Before serving, add soda to the juice mixture
● Unmold the ice ring by wrapping the bottom of the mold in a damp hot washcloth
● Then invert onto a baking sheet
● Place worm side up in punch bowl

Pumpkin cake roll

Ingredients
¾ cup of flour
1 cup of white sugar
1 teaspoon of baking soda
2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
1 cup of pumpkin puree
3 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons of confectioners sugar
1(8 ounce) package of cream cheese
¼ cup of butter ( half a stick )
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of confectioners sugar
Instructions
First, Preheat oven to 375*F Grease and flour a 9x13 inch jelly roll pan or cookie sheet.
Then, in a large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and pumpkin pie spice.
Mix in pumpkin puree, eggs, and lemon juice with the flour mixture. Pour mixed batter into the prepared pan, spread throughout the pan evenly.
Bake at 375 for 15 minutes. Place a damp linen towel onto countertop, then sprinkle with confectioners sugar, and place the still warm cake onto the
towel. Carefully roll the towel up with the cake in the towel, let the rolled up cake cool for 20 minutes. Then make the icing: mix in th butter,
confectioners sugar, and vanilla with an electric mixer. After the cake has cooled for 20 minutes, unroll the cake and spread icing onto the cake,
Immediately after re-roll the cake bake up before the cake crumbles. When serving cut into ½ inch slices.

Valued Painting Gets Shredded During
Auction

Recently there was an auction at
Sotheby’s in London, England on October 5th.
Everything seemed normal until a popular
work by Banksy was sold for 1.4 million
dollars, onlookers gasped at the sight: the
painting was slipping out of its ornate frame
and the bottom half was being shredding into
long strips.
The spray painted image had been
spray painted on a wall in London back in
2002 making it one of most iconic works by
Banksy. However, Banksy is not a newbie to
pulling pranks. “A few years ago, I secretly
built a shredder into a painting in case it was
ever put up for auction.” says Banksy. This
painting could be worth 50% more than it was
originally.
It was quite surprising for this
breathtaking event to happen during the
auction, it was quite entertaining for some of
the people as well. Pierre Koukjian, another
artist, says that the new owner of the beautiful
painting is “Very lucky.”
“What Banksy did is very shocking, in
a good way” Koukjian reports “I think it will
be historic, and people will be talking about it
for along time.”
A bunch of people had been gathered
around as this happened, the bottom half was
shredded. Many people still enjoy this piece of
Banksy's work. Joey Dyer, who co founded a
website which also features many of Banksy’s
work, claims that the piece is now valued at
more than %50 percent more than its original
price.
It is not surprising to many people that
Banksy would do such a thing, it was more of
a shock that this would happen at the auction.
However, many people are still
questioning how the shredder had been active
at the time.

Saga Finds Ancient Sword

Eight year old Saga went to a trip to
Swedish lake and did not know that she would
find a piece of history. When she arrived, she
jumped right in. As she swam she believed she
felt a stick. When she pulled it out she realized it
wasn't a stick it was a wooden sword. Saga ran
and told her mom the stick was about 3ft long.
Her family took it to Jonkoping Museum. The
sword was from the fifth or sixth century in a
viking area. The museum displayed it and named
it Saga`s sword. The sword was well preserved
despite its age, even having its original leather
and wood cover still on it. When archaeologists
went in the lake to see if anything else could be
found, they found a brooch pin, but couldn't
determine if it was from the same period of time​.
Saga and her family are very excited to have
found this ancient sword. It will be almost
a year until the sword can go in the museum
because specialist have to check the sword out.
Mr. Vanecek, Saga’s dad, told reporters, “It’s
cool that it will be in a museum and it might even
say ‘Saga’s Sword’ and it might be there for

Should or Shouldn't Plastic Straws Be
Banned

As time goes by the more certain people night. This will probably be surprising to you,
get about a certain product. Well this topic is
about plastic straws and if they should be
banned. In my opinion they should not because it off of it
helps people, like children, drink without spilling that is very sweet, and the pads are eaten as
their, juice, soda, water, or milk. Plastic Straws
cause pollution it still doesn’t single out other
products polluting the ocean people just focus
only on one thing and it’s plastic straws. Causing “Cacti are native to arid regions of the New
pollutants is bad, but we can find an alternative
way of making straws safer. People may not
agree because the fact that when you put plastic
items in hot places they release dangerous
carbons into water or coco in which we use
straws to drink it with. People may not like
opinions that decline about the products, though, live up to about 150 years! Cacti can go up too
we don’t always have to agree with everything
people say. The facts check that using plastic
straws are affordable and decreases habits of
spilling drinks, in others facts they cause
pollutants in the ocean and they litter the beaches
though people litter and pollute the oceans.

they might cost 0.89 cents to $1.00 for a
package. Most opinions may not matter but mine
may matter because the plastic straws should not
be banned just for something people can solve

much sleep as you body needs. Poor sleeping
can cause you to gain weight. Also good
sleepers tend to eat fewer calories also when
you get good amounts of sleep it can increase

Poor sleepers have a high risk or heart
disease and stroke also with poor sleep comes
depression and sadness. You need a lot of sleep
and need to stay healthy as well as do good in
school if you don't get enough sleep then your
brain will have a hard time functioning and

Cacti

Cacti are plants in the desert. They
grow where it is hot and dry. “There are about
2,000 cacti,” says the article “All About
Cactuses.” They come in many different color,
shapes, and sizes. Cacti however do grow and
live where it is dry, but if it rains in the desert,
then cacti will store water to help them survive
longer.
Cacti do have spikes, some big, some
small. But, all of them are sharp and will hurt if
you touch or run into them. They use there
spikes to protect them from predators. Cacti
can grow flowers and bloom. Some bloom in
one day, while others can take longer.
Sometimes there flowers will only open up at
but some cacti can even be eaten! No joke! It's
called a prickly pear cactus, it has fruit growing
vegetables.
People have cacti in there houses as
decoration. cacti have a thick, fleshy stem.

It was the opening day of the new public school in Akron Ohio . All you could see was high fives big smiles and appluses. But the biggest smile
was from LeBron James himself. He was very proud of every kid because he was a public kid. Helping the kids is very important to him.
What the kids will be getting from there new school is free uniforms,bikes,and meals. Also all were promised a full scholarship to the
university of Akron. A lot of IPS kids struggle with assignments and some have bad behavior problems and some have many thing going on at
home to focus on school. The school will be having longer school days to help the kids that need extra help.
LeBron said he is leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the Los Angeles Lakers . LeBron said that he really believes in education
that is why he is very excited that these kids get a new school that will be better for them and a better environment. LeBron's family partnered up
with the Arkon schools to help create the IPS, I Promise School.

No One Knows What Would Happen if Mosquitoes Disappeared

People hate mosquitoes all over the world, but we can’t just get rid of them, even if it was possible, you can’t just destroy an entire species
without having a huge effect on our ecosystem. Some scientists say that they are not so sure that getting rid of mosquitoes would be such a big
deal like others say.
There are lots of reasons people would want mosquitoes gone for good, besides their buzz, bites, and how they cause so much itchiness.
There is a much more serious problem called Malaria, which is a disease that infects about 200 million people
and kills 1 million people every year. Not every mosquito carries malaria, but one species does, the Anopheles
gambiae​.​ Would we miss them if they were gone for good? We can’t say for sure, and the unfortunate part is
that once they’re gone, there’s no bringing them back. Still, many scientists think that option should stay, or at
least another version of it.

​Secretariat the Racehorse is Considered one of the Greatest Athletes Of all Time

If you want to get to know more about horse racing, learn about the famous record-breaking stallion racehorse, Secretariat. Secretariat, or
Big Red is the number one racehorse of all time. He is a chestnut brown Thoroughbred racehorse. He was born in Virginia on March 30, 1970
and he ran and won his first race on July 4, 1972. Secretariat only lost 2 races, out of the many, many races he ran. Secretariat ranked 35th on
ESPN’s, ‘100 Greatest Athletes of the 20th century’, there were 2 other racehorses on the list, but they were farther down the list. In 1973,
Secretariat was the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years. This means a 3+ year old racehorse wins 3 races in one year. Unfortunately, this legend
died from a painful hoof disease, laminitis, on October 4th, 1989, aged 19 years. During Secretariat’s autopsy, the veterinarians discovered
something astonishing about Secretariat; he had the largest horse heart ever to be recorded! Until another racehorse comes along with a heart the
size of Secretariat, we won’t be seeing a record breaking legend for a while.

When you get up in the morning do you get or make coffee? Have you ever asked yourself is this effecting me? Depending on how much
you drink, if you get up and you start drinking four cups of coffee you probably will have trouble sleeping. There are serious effects to drinking
coffee. If you drink a lot of coffee you can get high cholesterol. People who drink coffee tend to have stained teeth.
Coffee is a popular drink all over the world with over 20,000 people drinking coffee just in US. Why is it so popular? Is it just to give
people something to drink or does it aculay have an impact on us. It keeps us awake for a long day ahead. But it also puts a lot of caffeine in us
which makes it so unhealthy.Some people think that coffee is good because it keeps you awake and energized.
Unsweetened is the healthiest coffee to drink. Cappuccino is the next healthiest. Now some people add syrup flavoring to it which makes
it a little less healthy, but some people have started to use low fat milk to make it more healthy. If you use whole milk there is 140 calories if you

The internet can sometimes be great and sometimes it can ruin your life. There are many people who use their mobile device for everything.
Some people never use the internet. Some things on the internet are very useful like a calculator or google to look thing up that you want to know.
Some things on the internet are fake and not true anyone can post anything and sometimes things they post are true and some things are not.
There are children going on sites like Musically, Facebook, Instagram and they are being tricked of of these sights and some people are
actually coming to some of these peoples houses and taking them when there parents arent home. These criminals tell you they are someone else and
are a different age so they can pretend to become your friend then they'll ask if you can meet them and if you say yes they'll meet you and could
kidnap or take advantage of you.
The government is now making laws,the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) helps protect kids younger than 13 when they're
online. COPPA requires websites to explain their privacy policies and get parental consent before collecting or using a child's personal information,
such as a name, address, phone number, or Social Security number. The law also prohibits a site from requiring a child to provide more personal
information than necessary to play a game or enter a contest.They are hoping that this law will help will prevent fraud, kidnapping and maybe even

Why Black Cats are a Symbol of Halloween

Modern day Halloween revolves around everything dark, spiritual, and spooky. Common Halloween symbols include cemeteries, haunted
houses, dark, cold days, and black cats. If you think about it the right way, black cats have nothing to do with Halloween. But the reason we associate
them to Halloween comes from an ancient myth; that witches kept black cats as pets, used them in curses, and even shapeshifted into them when the
times were right. The Puritan Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony are to blame for black cats being unlucky. The Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony were
extremely against everything related to the devil. Since witchcraft was thought to be related to the devil, the Pilgrims, being super religious and all,
considered everything linked to witchcraft as unlucky. Especially black cats, since they were thought to be witches in disguise, or witch servants. But
of course, that’s just an age old tale. Now, people find black cats unlucky, and that’s why most black cats can’t find homes and either die in a boring,
old animal shelter, or die in brutal weather or deadly situations as strays. People think that when a black cat crosses your path, it means you are
cursed with bad luck. That’s not true. It is especially lucky, because you get to see/pet a cat! Black cats aren’t necessarily ​that​ unlucky, they’re just
stereotyped because of the color of their fur and an ancient myth.

Minnesota’s Disappearing River

On Minnesota's north shore of Lake Superior a couple miles south of Canada's border is the Judge C.R. Magney State Park. It has several
waterfalls one of which disappears. It drops 800 feet from the Brule River which flows through the park. The volcanic rocks from Devil's Kettle
Falls splits the river in two. One side is a normal waterfall and the other side falls in to a mysterious black hole that no one knows where it goes.
Caitlin Schneider thinks that the water might go below Lake Superior. Researchers have thrown objects in the hole and Youtuber Travis Boser says
when the river is low you can see logs at the bottom. He said this after he took a video from a perch.
Some people have possible explanations but the geology of the area doesn't support it. Underground caves and channels are commonly
formed by limestone which dissolves very quickly in water. The park rests on a layers of basalt and rhyolite. When the North American continent
started to come apart one billion years ago it erupted.
Some people think the hole is an opening to a lava tube. The only problem with this theory is rhyolite never forms in lava tubes. Rock layers
are to far from river bed and are of the wrong type for basaltic lava to form. It remains a mystery why the river disappears. Viewing the river for
yourself would mean a mile long hike you would have to climb 200 stairs, but it would be worth it if you could figure out the mystery.

the beautiful fall colors in September, October
and November. On the top of the Ober
Gatlinburg resort in Tennessee, there is a
viewfinder installed on the top of the building.
This viewfinder uses lenses for the colorblind to
reveal the fall colors that surround them. Those
colorblind who look through it usually begin to
tear up. Two other resorts in the state of
Tennessee also have these spectacular
viewfinders. These areas include Big South
Fork National River and Recreation Area near
Oneida, and the other one is at the westbound
Interstate 26 overlook near Erwin in Unicoi
County, all located in Tennessee. The

Today, rice makes up about 20% of
all calories consumed in the world. This
percentage is slowly going up, as well. In
the next couple of decades, experts predict
that the rice eaten averagely around the
globe will increase 105 million tons. Rice
farmers are becoming stressed, because they
make their living off of rice, and what will
happen if the something happens to the rice?
The Crop Trust, a non profit organization in
Bonn, Germany, made 5-year annual grant
of $1.4 million to the gene bank of the
International Rice Research Institute in Los
Baños, Philippines. Thanks to the Crop Trust,
now 100,000 kinds of rice are available for
emergency future uses. Gene banks are like
normal banks, but instead of storing money,
they store genetic materials. For example, they
store frozen seeds, especially rice seeds. If
something happens that completely alters the
plants, people have access to seeds from the
gene bank. Things that might destroy all the
crops include floods, fires, pests, and more.
Now, the gene bank has 136,000 seed varieties,
many being rice, ready for immediate help.
