Definition
Sunnah

absolutely prohibited as anyone who
engage in its liable to incur the

well as a legal punishment in this world
and disliked affairs.
Muhaddithun
• Prophet’s word, deeds, tacit approvals,
his physical features and moral
characteristics.
• Some scholars included – the words
and deeds of the companion and
successors.
Fuqaha
• Prophet’s word, deeds and tacit
approvals.
• Excludes the description of physical
features and characteristics.

• It is the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. meant for
