An unusual traditionally flavoured vodka,

Owing its delicate aroma and flavour to bison grass, a sweet grass herb
known as Hierochlöe odorata, named by Poles Żubrówka.

The bison grass only grows in small clumps in the wild in the Białowieża
Primaeval forest, where wild bison roam free. The inhabitants of the
region say, it imparts the power of a bison to all that consume it. Le-
gend proclaims that the bison grass is an aphrodisiac and a potent
agent of virility, which keeps Europe’s only remaining bison herds from
extinction.

The herb is harvested by hand and dried naturally in the sunshine be-
fore being used to flavour a high quality rye grain spirit at the Bialystok
Polmos in Eastern Poland. It takes ten blades of this highly aromatic
grass to flavour one bottle of Zubrowka, and each bottle contains a
blade of bison grass.

Wonderfully complex and enigmatic vodka, with grassy, hay, herba-

It takes only a few moments alone with this

cork-finished thoroughbred to determine

batch vodka is made from the hearts of
wheat and spring water from the famed An-
geac Champagne Springs in Cognac. It is dis-
tilled five times in traditional copper alembic
stills and rendered pure using an exclusive
process called micro-oxygenation.

Ciroc- Snap Frost Vodka
Ciroc is made exclusively from two types of grapes grown in the
centuries-old vineyards of the Gaillac and Cognac regions of
France - the Mauzac Blanc and Ugni Blanc.

France's Gaillac region has a tradition. Their obscurely historic vines of

Mauzac Blanc and Len de L'El (Loin de l'oeil) grapes can undergo a predict-
able snap frost. These overripe grapes, more like berries, are carefully se-
lected. The frosted grapes are pressed and cold-fermented. The result is
Ciroc Vodka.
The twist in this vodka is that it is produced from grapes, rather than the
usual wheat, corn, rye, molasses or potatoes. Ciroc is distilled five times,
rather than the industry standard of three. Rather than having high proof
alcohol's medicinal flavors, this vodka is clean, fresh and smooth with a lilt
of complexity derived from the grape origin. The cold fermentation really
does contribute to the final flavor.

While using labor intensive and expensive techniques, the vi-

neyard manager and the master distiller can ensure that the deli-
cate character of Ciroc will be preserved - from the selection of
grapes in the vineyard to the vodka in the glass.
