The graph below shows the percentage of city population in four countries from 1970 to 2030.

The line graph gives the information about the figure for population density in four

countries over the course of 60 years starting from 1970.

It is clear that there were significant changes in the percentage of urban population by all

four countries shown on the graph. The USA had the highest percentage of people who living in

the city during the period. While the amount of citizen in Korea and India rose gradually, China

went up dramatically.

In 1970, China and India both had the same amount of urban population about 20%.

Unlike, the percentage of the city population in USA and Korea was higher by about 70% and

40% respectively. Then, it showed an upward trend in the USA, Korea, and India while the

amount of citizen in China remained unchanged until 1990.

Furthermore, the amount of urban population in China grew substantially about 58% in

2030. Similarly, there was an increase of almost 30% city population in India. Compared to

China and India, the figure for Korea and the USA experienced to peak at 90% until 2030.
The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United

Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make

comparisons where relevant.

The line graph illustrates how much carbon dioxide each individual put into the air in the

United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal over the course of 40 years starting from 1967.

It is clear that the United Kingdom had the highest level of CO2 emissions during the

period. However, there was a downward trend in the amount of CO2 emissions in the United

Kingdom and Sweden while Italy and Portugal in the opposite.

Between 1967 to 1977, the level of CO2 emissions has a significantly increased in all

three countries as Sweden, Italy, Portugal. Compared to other countries, the United Kingdom had

remained stable by 11 metric tonnes.

After that, there was a gradual increase in the amount of CO2 emissions people produce

every day in Italy and Portugal in the remaining period. However, it felt suddenly by 9 metric

tonnes and 5 metric tonnes in the United Kingdom and Sweden respectively until 2007.
