Economic development is one of the foremost objectives of every economy in the world and
economic growth is primary to economic development. The competitiveness in global markets
may lead to product innovation and force domestic producers to reduce various inefficiencies.
Export expansion is believed to lead to and lead by an improved allocation of all types of resources,
economies of time and scale, improvements in production techniques by widening knowledge and
technical base, through multilateral international arrangements for transfer of technology,
accumulation and formation of capital, raising the level of employment by jobs creation and thus,
economic growth and development [1].
Recently the suitability of trade policy- import substitution or export promotion- for growth and
development is the top concern of Pakistan’s economy. Therefore, this study tends to identify top
exporters, importers and logistics companies of Pakistan. Figure 1 highlights the top exporting
partner countries of Pakistan.

3. Pakistan TOP Freight Forwarder Companies
Logistic sector, which is considered as an important interface of increased international trade in consequence of globalization, plays an important
role on countries’ economic growth and development. A development in logistic sector facilitates the international trade, increases the
competitiveness in countries and thus appears to be an important determinant of growth and development [6]. Therefore, this study tends to
highlight Top five freight forwarder companies of Pakistan. Figure 4 shows the classification of logistics companies on the basis of national,
international and courier services (both national & international).

4 Pakistan TOP Imports
Imports are foreign goods and services bought by residents of a country, imports make a
country dependent on other countries' political and economic power [9]. That's especially true
if it imports commodities, such as food, oil, and industrial materials. It's dangerous if it relies
on a foreign power to keep its population fed and its factories humming. Pakistan currently is
facing the trade deficit of about $20 billion. Figure 8 shows the Pakistan imports.
