telecommunications technology infrastructure team. Ensure the performance and reliability of all
services and exceed the needs of our businesses and clients. Implement processes and
technologies to ensure highly available telecom resources are available to users.
Provides support for all business units and supports the HD Supply enterprise. Provides level 3
engineering support and consults with customers on telecommunication systems.
Assists with new technology research and design to ensure overall level of resources are
maintained.
Configures and maintains routers, switches, and servers for the telecommunications network.
Assists with performing daily database backups on all telecommunications systems.
Ensures service level agreements (SLAs) are met and continue to meet the needs of customers.
Provides support and resolution for customer issues.
Assists in determining the production capacity needed to meet changing business demands.
Ensures capacity planning deliverables are performed to specifications.
Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex
problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor
and/or direct "customers" of the process.
May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional
personnel.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not
objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to
move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Minimum Qualifications
field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 4 years of experience
5+years experience with emerging technologies to include hardware, software, and telecom
services concepts and trends.
• 5+ years of experience in voice infrastructure design, implementation and support for the
following Telephony environments: Cisco UCM, CUC, CUAC and Cisco UCCX and/or PBX/Key
systems
• Strong knowledge in VoIP, QOS, SIP trunking and Cisco voice gateways
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Window servers, VMware and Cisco Unified Compute System
(UCS) B/C series servers
• Strong organizational, presentation, communication; both oral and written, and customer
service skills.
