EEE 54 Electronic Circuits Laboratory II

1st Semester 2018-2019

Course Description:
Construction, analysis, and performance measurements of the following circuits
 Pulse circuits
 Wave-shaping circuits
 Timing Circuits

Pre-requisite: EEE 42
Co-requisite: EEE 53

Course Objectives:
Construct, analyze, and measure performance parameters of the above-mentioned
circuits as stand-alone and integrated together.

Experiments 1/3
Design Problem 1 1/3
Design Problem 2 1/3

Experiments
5 experiments 20% each

Design Problems
Working up to full spec 50%
Design Review (Oral Exam) 50%

Class Policies:
1. Attendance is not required but absence means a grade of Zero in the experiment.
2. Design Problems will be done by pair but the design review will be done individually. Part
of the objective is for you to get along with along with your group mate and work
harmoniously together and at the same time, know your design “inside and out”.
3. Milestone is not graded, but I will ask you to submit a quick update on your progress. This
will allow me to monitor your progress and offer help to those who are struggling.
4. The individual Design Review serves as your documentation.
5. Cheating and plagiarism are punishable with a grade of 5 plus the filing of a
disciplinary case.
6. Know your equipment. Check basic functionality at the start and end of each class. Return
equipment to their proper benches and shut them down before leaving.
7. Damage to equipment will mean a grade of zero for an experiment (if it happens during an
experiment) or 33% deduction if it takes place during Design Problem activities.
