COLLEGE REPORT
I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The College of Arts and Sciences is geared toward its mission of providing men and women of culture, character and competence.
At present, this College offers Bachelor of Arts major in English which was awarded Level III Re-accredited status by the Accrediting
Agency for Chartered Universities and Colleges (AACCUP) during the year 2007. The award placed NVSU in the limelight as one among the first
ten SUCs throughout the country to have Level III Re-accredited Program. Other remarkable course offerings which were recently granted
Level 1 status are as follows: Bachelor of Science in Biology, Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and Bachelor of Science in
Cooperative Development.
In line with the efforts of the University to verticalize its programs, two (2) Graduate School programs, namely: Master in Public
Administration also awarded Level III Re-accredited status, and Doctor of Philosophy major in Organizational Development and Planning were
devolved under the College of Arts and Sciences.
The faculty and students of this humble college are one in quest for excellence and glorification of the College of Arts and Sciences. Since
August, 2013, the faculty members of the College worked on the preparation of documents needed for the Level IV accreditation survey visit of
the AB English Program and subjected the aforementioned program to scrutiny by the representatives from the Accrediting Agency for
Chartered Colleges and Universities last July 21-25, 2014.
