MLA Formatted Essay

Modern Language Association also knows as MLA is one style to write essays. Some of

the features that MLA requires are the information about the writer, class, and the date. It also

needs to have a header on the top right of the page with the writer’s last name and the page

number. MLA needs a title on the center of the page. The format to follow is use Times New

Roman font size 12 and double space.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

This year Wilder High School is planning our fall field trip to the Believe
it or not and the House of Wax which are next to each other. 1150
Dragonfly St. Boise ID 83699. We are schedule to visit the site on Friday
November 1. We will depart from School around 9:00AM and return
back to school around 1:00PM Students have two choices for lunch
either they can bring a cold lunch or bring $5.00 dollars which would
cover the cost of lunch.
We look forward to our trip.

Please sign and return the bottom portion by October 10.

Lesson Source: Bingo cards/ Loteria

Time: 1 hour 10 minutes

Concepts: To get to know how bingo is play in other cultures by using the target language in this

case Spanish

Objectives:

Students will be able to:

- Work on previous vocabulary

- Match the picture with the word

- Learn how to pronounce the words on the pictures

Idaho State Standards:

Arts and Humanities: World Language

Standard CONN 2: Access and evaluate information and diverse perspectives that are available

through the target language and its cultures.

Goal 2.1: Visualizing materials to familiarize the picture with the word

Objective: CONN 2.1 Access authentic materials prepared in the target language

by or for native speakers.

Goal 2.2 Familiarize the content, be able to visualize the picture with the word and how

the word sounds.

Objective: CONN 2.2 Analyze the content and cultural perspective of authentic

material prepared in the target language by or for native speakers.

Goal 2.3 Comparing and understanding the similarities and differences of the materials

and the meaning behind each culture

Objective: CONN 2.3 Compare and contrast culture similarities and differences in

authentic materials.

Supplementary Materials: Evaluation

Engagement (5 Min.): Will introduce the activity and explain the rules.

Exploration (25Min.): Will hand out the materials and will start the activity.

Explanation (10 Min.): Discuss the similarities with bingo.

Elaboration (10 Min.): Discuss the different options/alternative that can be use.

Evaluation (20 Min.): Students will have a chance to give individual feedback when handing

back the material to the teacher.
