by C. Nelson Wright to manufacture hand tools. From a modest start, this
now is ihe largest exclusive manufacturer of sockets and socket

The Wright Tool Company has grown because Wright tools have always
been the"finest. Manufacturing methods and technology have continually
improved and increased efficieniy has resulted in better tools at lower prices.
Among the many advancements made at wright Tool has been the develop-
ment Jf hot forging of extruded sockets. In this process a solid piece of steel,
white hot, is foie-Tormed in a series of dies into a socket. The metal is made
to ,.flow" into shape thus producing a grain structure which follows the con-
tour of the sockel. This grain structure contour is the secret of the great
strength of hot-forged sockets.
other advances include ultra modern heat treat facilities. At wright Tool
the finest heat treating is made possible in the latest type controlled atmos-
phere electric furnace. All tools are "bright hardened" to precise specifica-
iions by electronic controls. The result is uniform peak toughness in all
Wright Tools - no variance in quality day in and day out, year after year'
In fact all wright processes and work flow are controlled as far as poslible
by dlectronic inltruments to reduce human error. Many of these control in-
struments have been created at Wright Tool for that very purpose.
