1.INTRODUCTION:
 Electronic Point of Sale digital system.
 Desktop Based Application.
 Accurate information, real-time visibility, and a highly productive
work force.
 Advantage of Cash & Carry.
• Free up workers.
• Reduce the paperwork needed.

2.OBJECTIVE:
The objectives of a EPOS system are:
 Improved stock control through wastage and profit margin.
 Standardized pricing.
 A facility for a complete price file enabling the scanning of all
products will increase the rate of customer service.
 More accurate recording of sales made through smart tills.
 Improved financial reporting systems.
3.WHAT’S NEW IN THIS SYSTEM:
 Mostly saleable products chart.
 Automatic order generation of a product which is about to finish
in stock.
 Other expenses detail on the monthly basis.
 Daily report generation of sales and income.
4.SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS:

LIMITATIONS:
 System can only be accessed offline.
 System can only receive cash.
 System cannot receive amounts on a credit card basis.
5.FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Functional requirements of our system are explained below.
 User must log-in with a username and password in order to use
the system.
 Must allow for the searching and retrieval of a record using
various fields for customer id.
 Larger stock environments.
 A retailing environment.
 To ensure accurate pricing, faster transactions, reduces human
errors.

5.FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
 EPOS reads the barcodes on products and makes the appropriate
charge.
 Reduced stock holding helps the cash flow in your business.
 Administrator account.
 Cashier account.
 Display the description and price of an item

Non-functional requirements of our system are mentioned below.
