Concept Note

In the language learning domain the usage of Web 2.0 tools has been more widespread. And these
Web 2.0 tools are penetrating in language pedagogy. The practices of learning a language can be
carried out on the web, which builds a naturalistic connection between language learning and Web
2.0 integration. There is a need for foreign language (FL) faculty/mentors/facilitators to equip
themselves with the hands on experience in using the Web 2.0 tools in the learning and teaching of
the FL to keep up with the pace of steady growing E-Learning facilities.

This seminar cum workshop focuses on some of the available Web 2.0 tools for teaching and
learning of foreign languages. During this workshop, the participants are expected to apply Web 2.0
tools to respective foreign languages. Hence the seminar cum workshop aims to create a group of FL
teachers keen to develop e-content that can be well integrated into the classroom environment and
also practiced even beyond classroom.

The abstracts may be sent to the Organizing Secretary of the Seminar with a cc to the Director of the
seminar. The participants are requested to bring their laptop for the workshop.
