“The great aim of education is not knowledge but action.”

Education is not merely acquirement of facts but also of values which help
us improve the different facets of mankind. It ensures that we leave the
world a far better place than we found it. A pivotal role of education lies
in shaping the personality of a child into a healthy mind and happy soul,
who is not only equipped with 21st century skills and aptitude required for
academic competencies but helping child face the challenges of life in a
balanced and harmonious way. Therefore, the system of education should
work as a catalyst in making each child a balanced human being having
his/her core strengths embedded in the learning experiences.
In Bright Kids, we strive to nurture our students with a good human value, which in myriad ways is
ingrained in the culture of the school. To achieve this, we strongly feel that a paradigm shift in the
minds of all stake holders should take place; not only in school but at home as well. By extending to
family members, values like Inquisitive for knowledge, Accountability to oneself and Graciousness to
all, are further imbued. And our commitment to such education will always persist in all our
endeavours.
In this pursuit of achievements, I appreciate our parents for supporting the school in every aspect. I
also laud the relentless efforts of our teachers for giving their best in bringing out the best in each
child. We look forward to further strengthen home-school partnership to nurture active learners,
responsible decision-makers and gracious citizens who are ready to expand the horizons of their
knowledge and skills by dreaming big and working hard.

POP Centre Update

In October last year, our
centre was appointed as a
Partner Operator (POP) by
ECDA (Early Childhood
Development Agency). The
Partner Operator (POP)
scheme supports child care
operators to keep fees
affordable, build capabilities
to raise quality, and improve
career prospects for Early
Childhood professionals. In
line with the scheme, Bright
Kids have taken steps to
implement several initiatives
to raise the standard of
care and education in the
centre.

POP Centre Update

Since the beginning of this
year, we have reduced
programme fees for all
Singaporean children,
capping our full-day
monthly programme fees
at a maximum of $800
(excluding GST). We will
continue to ensure that
any fee increases are kept
affordable for parents.
We are pleased to inform you that all our childcare teachers
have undergone continuing professional development training
this year. Through these courses, our Early Childhood
Professionals were able to enhance their skills and teaching
pedagogies. In the following years, our teachers will continue
to undergo professional development courses to enhance their
skills and knowledge so as to provide higher standards of child
care and education in our centre.

POP Centre Update

Bright Kids have also invested time, energy and material to
improve the centre environment, operating processes as well
as child care curriculum and education through the Singapore
Pre-School Accreditation Framework (SPARK).
SPARK is a quality assurance
framework that aims to
provide recognition and
support for preschool centres
in their efforts to improve
teaching and learning,
administration and
management processes to
enhance the holistic
development and well-being
of the children.
All of our POP centres have been assessed and we are

awaiting results of our SPARK certification.
