PROJECT DESIGN – MPM242 – PUROK PASTO

Successes: The successes attained in the project are the following:

 Identification of the main issues of the community (Purok Pasto);
 Isolation of the issues according to magnitude and impact in the community (Purok
Pasto);
 Constant cooperation and assistance of the local barangay officers in the project, with
regard to documentary records, community statistics and ocular visits;
 Eagerness of key resource and point persons who volunteered in the project with regard
to seminars and livelihood training activities.
 Cooperation and enthusiasm of the community with regard to the implemented programs
with livelihood, health and wellness, and local community.
 Successful implementation of the various programs in the community
 Successful outputs, as evidenced by constant community visits and monitoring of the
programs which were implemented.

Challenges: The challenges encountered in the project are the following:

 Non – availability of the officers – in – charge in the community;
 Availability of group members in specific meeting times.
 Scheduling of meetings with key resources and point persons that are connected with the
project.
 Non – availability and hesitation of the residents within the community;
 Limited pool of resource speakers and their availability in the specific date.
 Problems with regard to logistics in the community.
 Limitations with regard to the budget and its allocation to the whole project plan.

Lessons Learned: The lessons acquired in conducting the project design are the following:
 Develop and implement a structured work plan for each task assigned for the group and
its members;
 Extensive research and ocular inspection within the chosen community;
 Scheduling of meetings and the events with the attendance of at least half (a quorum) of
the members to ensure the effectiveness of visits, tabulation, and recording of community
information and data (which is in accordance with a member’s availability and schedule);
