• To get 4T in overlap area, each RRU sends 4port sinal , each physical port send 2 logical port
•To keep coverage same, normal 4T4R should add one RRU, and
the total power is doubled. • In order to keep the power do not exceed the limit power, RS power will be decrease 3dB
• To keep coverage same, each RRU total power should be doulbed

eMIMO Principle
RS Power and PDSCH Power impact
RS Power: used for cell reselection/HO.
If RS Power decreased, the absolute RSRP will decrease, and if there is deep coverage(Macro site coverage
building), weak coverage point maybe appear, and the User number and RRC setup ratio will be decreased.
However, eMIMO‘s user number and RRC setup ratio keep stable from the counter monitoring. So we judge
the coverage keep stable after eMIMO RS Power decreased 3dB.
For cell reselection/Inter RAT HO, if neighbor cell’s PA/PB not be changed , cell reselection/Inter RAT HO
parameters should be decrease 3dB, in order to keep user camping the same cell. If the neighbor cell’s
PA/PB/RS Power is changed cell reselection/Inter RAT HO parameters needn’t to be modified.
PDSCH Power: used for data RE transmission and data demodulation.
For PDSCH Power, eMIMO keep the power same as SFN/6sector, so the data channel coverage and
demodulation will not deteriorate.

total power) 2. User throughput : Improved when cell load> 20%.
3. User number and Network KPI : Keep stable .
2 Without enough left power 1. eMIMO Coverage : Keep stable.
(eMIMO equal total power with 2. User number and other KPI : Improved when cell load> 20%.
neighbor cell opt.) 3. User number and Network KPI : Keep stable .
Deployment suggestion:
Double total Power
(1)If left power is more than 3dB, add it to eMIMO cell.
(2)If left power is less than 3dB or without left power, decrease UMTS power ,add it to eMIMO cell.
Equal total power with Neighbor cell opt.
(1) eMIMO neighbor cell opt. , Pa/Pb change from (-3,1) to (0,0) .
(2) All LTE cell Pa/Pb change from (-3,1) to (0,0), then eMIMO cell change from (0,0) to (-3,1)

• E2W Redirection times didn’t increase when eMIMO normal total power on, it means users didn’t redirection to UMTS , so RS
power decrease 3dB will not lead to weak coverage user go to UMTS.
• E2W Redirection times increased after power doubled because the total user number increased.
