SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN (ASSURE MODEL)

LESSON TITLE: identifying different types of noun


TEACHER'S NAME: Janel M. Bagay
GRADE: IV- Bonifacio
CONTENT AREA : English IV
LESSON LENGHT: 45 minute period.

ANALYZE LEARNER

The Grade IV- Bonifacio students comprised 45 individual with 25 males and
20 females. Their age ranges from 8-10 year old. This section composed of 6
Muslims and majority are Christians.

Since the learners are capable of reading and writing, i presumed the they are
ready to adapt new lesson. Introducing them the different types of noun. As a
typical classroom, it was observable that the learning style of every learner is
different. Majority of the learners love to learn when there are lots of visual aids
presented. And almost one-fourth of the total population learn best through
auditory and hands on activities.

STATE OBJECTIVES

1.The grade IV Bonifacio students must be able to identify the different types of
Noun
2. The students should be able to create sentences using the types of noun.
3. By showing Charts and Placards, the student will perform guessing within the
classroom.
4. Given the 45 minutes discussion and activities, 90% of students in Grade IV
bonifacio are expected to master the lesson.

UTILIZE MEDIA, METHOD and MATERIALS

Teacher Janel is preparing the environment. He used to arrange the


materials sequence according to the sequence of activities. Learners are being
assured emotionally, mentally and physically prepared so that they can
participate throughout the discussion by asking how are class? The student
responded.

Teacher Janel is opening the power point slide to begin the lesson.
He is previewing all the materials to the students and he ask the question "what
have you observe class?

He put the folded pictures on the board and allow the students to brainstorm.

(2 minutes later) Teacher Janel is showing the placards that contain pictures that
will identify where the image belongs to the types of noun. He explains the
different types of noun.

The types of noun are well presented and teacher janel posing some questions.
And he allow the student to ask if there is any concern.

REQUIRED LEARNER'S PARTICIPATION

To convince the learners to participate well, he uses interactive/participative


method. By doing this, he divided the class into 6 groups since there are six
types of noun. Teacher Janel give each group a piece of illustration board and
chalk as well as the Eraser to perform the task with the following instruction.

Instructions;
1. Go with your group number and make a circle without any negative noise.
2. Work with your group the task collaboratively and efficiently.
3. One representative of each group will present the output.
4. You will be given 3 minutes to prepare and a maximum of 3 minutes to
present.

General instruction: Explain the given type of noun and give 10 examples

Group 1. Proper noun


Group 2. Common noun
Group 3. Abstract noun
Group 4. Collective noun
Group 5. Concrete noun
Group 6. Mass and count noun

After 3 minutes......
Teacher Janel call the respective presenter.

As what I have observed, every group understand the topic therefore the method
that I have been used is effective and the media as well.
