Here is a dark detecting circuit which will activate the relay in the circuit when there is no light on the

surface of photoresistor. This dark detector circuit is very easy to build and using only few components.

The photoresistor will switch on the transistor 2N2222 when there is no light on

its surface. When transistor 2N2222 become in ON condition it will activate the relay. You can adjust the

sensitivity of the circuit with the help of 50K variable resistor. Use 5-6 volt relay

Below is a schematic diagram of a joule thief circuit. This is a very interesting circuit, it will drive 3.6 volt

led from a single 1.5 volt cell. This joule thief circuit will run on 1.5 volt battery on which your other device

are not working and showing low battery indication.

So this is a good circuit to extract any power left in your batteries and it will produce bright white light and

also ideal for torch. The circuit is a simple dc to dc converter or we can also say it voltage booster circuit.

Both the transistors are BC547, 100 uH is a fixed coil you can find it easily in the market or online.
The figures below are showing two different light sensor circuits. The circuit shown in figure 1 is a very

simple light sensor circuit that will activate an LED when the LDR in the circuit receives light. The circuit

shown in figure 2 is using a relay at its output and when light falls on the LDR it will activate the relay

switch and hence any AC and DC appliance connected with the relay will become activated.

Working of the circuit is simple, when the photoresistor or LDR receives light it will switch on the transistor

2N2222, when transistor become ON it will activate the relay switch and any equipment connected with

the relay will become activated. The relay value should be used according to the operating voltage. It is

also important to always check that how many amperes your relay is able to handle and how much

ampere your appliance will use. Let say if your appliance working ampere is 8 and you are using 10

ampere relay then it will run smoothly but if your appliance current consumption is upto 10A then you

have to use higher current handling relay switch. The ampere of relay and operating voltage is always

written on the relay

Do you know that white LEDs can be used for a good looking lamp for your room? In this topic we will

discuss a great idea of making a LED lamp Circuit with white LEDs to use as room Lamp. Now a days

LED lamps are going very popular. Because it gives you good light, more power saver and the life of LED
lamp is much more as compare to the life of florescent lamp. Now a days LED lamps are also available in

markets but why we buy it from the market if we know the skills to make it? The circuit is very simple and

contains very few parts. The good thing of this LED lamp circuit is that it is not using any transformer. The

bridge rectifiers are used here because we have to convert AC to DC because LEDs can only run from

DC volts.

Note: Many of its points are at AC mains voltage. It could give you lethal shock if you are not careful. So if

you don't know much about working with AC line voltages

do not attempt to construct this circuit.

The figure below shows a project / schematic of a touch lamp circuit. The circuit will activate and
deactivate two 1 watt LEDs by touching the ON and OFF connections shown in the circuit. This circuit can
be used for variety of purposes like as an LED table or reading lamp, LED night light / lamp, touch
activated portable emergency light (if connected direct with a 12V battery without transformer) and also

for many other purposes.

The circuit is build around a 555 timer IC. A 2N6122 transistor is working as a switch. A 110 or 230V

primary to 9V secondary 1A step down transformer is used for powering the circuit. You can also add 3 to

4 more 1 watt LEDs in parallel with a 27 ohms resistor with each LED but also make sure to use a higher

current ratings transformer like 2 or 3 ampere with a 5 ampere diode bridge. You can also operate the

circuit with a 12 volt battery. The circuit for 12V battery is shown in figure 2.
