Guided experience ( whole group activity ) language instructions
First of all, I will play a game to make them guess what the lesson will be about, then link their previous
knowledge to the lesson by giving them some simple questions to make them differentiates between the tallest
and the longest. (Explaining for them).
First activity: Sorting
Put to boxes in the carpet and show them different objects with different lengths, then ask them to put the objects that they are
longest than the ruler in the (long box) and the objects that they are shortest than the ruler in the (short box).

Guided questions :

 Which item is shorter?

 Which item is longer?
 Are the objects the same length?

I will start this activity after displays the online game and give them an idea about the new word (Long), then I will explain for
them what they have to do in each table.

Individual experience - Small Group Learning Centers: 15 min

Learning Center 1 : community helpers vehicle
- In this table students have to order the community
helpers vehicle from the longest to the shortest,
then they have to say which it's long and which it's
short.
Learning Center 2 : Measuring with the cubes
- In this table the students have to
measure the pictures with the cubes
and write the number in the
worksheet.

Learning Center 3 : searching for an objects Learning Center 4 : play dough

- In this table the students should take a stick then
chose a random paper and see what he have to - In this table the students should make long
search for. things and short things with the play
dough.
- If the he had a ( long ) paper he should look for
objects longer than the stick. And if the he had a (
short ) paper he should look for objects shorter than
the stick.

Closing activity: Time: 5-7 minutes

- Ask them if the understand the lesson?
