To understand mathematical shifts and to teach the shifts effectively, mathematical

reasoning must first be taught and in order to do that three major things need to occur and that is

precision, mastery, and fluency. In my classroom we will focus on precision and using leverage

from the CCSS standards to make confident choices in regard to math. Furthermore, with the use

of cohesive progressions, and appropriate applications this will help me lead my students

towards mastery of the CCSS standards. Finally, for my students to be fluent, I will instruct

lessons dual intensities, or how this information can relate to real life events, which helps the

students become more engaged and aware of their practices. With all of these shifts, I will help

my students work towards mathematical reasoning, and being able to reason efficiently.
