The National Science & Technolo*, *uour.*ent In?ormation System (NSTMIS) Division of Department of
Science & Technology (DST) has been bringing out Directories on Extra-mural Research and Development project
approved for funding by various S&T agencies on an annual basis since 1990-91. The division has also been periodically
analyzing the outcome of these research projects for the benefit of scientific communiry policy planners and other
stakeholders. Recently, NSTMIS,DST brought out a report on the outcome of extramural R&D projects sanctioned during
the period 2005 -20 1 0 (See web-site www.nstmis-dst.org).

It has now been decided to undertake the similar exercise for the period 20 I 0- 20 1 5. The task for the preparation of
the report has been sponsored to SOCIETY FOR ENVIRONMENT & DEVELOPMENT (SED), New Delhi. In this
regard, you are requested to provide the information of above referred project in the enclosed format (questionnaire) to
