From pre observer of the needs of students in MAN Tolitoli which included one of senior
high school in educational system. Students are expected to be able to apply the english
language as much as possible in order to emphesize and developed their knowledge.

3. Achievement of learning
Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di MAN dimaksudkan agar para peserta didik dapat
berkomunikasi secara lisan dan tulis untuk menyelesaikan masalah dan dapat digunakan
sehari-hari. Dengan memperhatikan tujuan pendidikan, maka penguasaan dalam
menggunakan Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa internasional merupakan hal vital yang
harus dikuasai oleh para siswa, tidak hanya untuk menghasilkan tenaga kerja menengah
yang kompeten dalam penguasaan sains dan teknologi, tetapi para siswa juga dapat
mengkomunikasikan keterampilannya dengan Bahasa Inggris sehingga siswa diharapkan
mampu bersaing ditingkat internasional.

4. BODY OF KNOWLEDGE

This subject emphasizes on all skill in English (Reading, Speaking, Listening, and
Writing). Provide explanation of some tenses, how to identify narrative text and its
generic structures which help the students to apply the material in their activity. The
material of the subject is focus on reading skill but still integrating with writing, speaking
and listening. In the course students are introduced to a wide variety of authentic
materials, supported by tasks and activities to increase involvement and confidence in the
learning process.
