1.2.6 Extruded aluminium mouldings at ceiling penetrations and at ceiling penetrations
interrupted by other construction.
1.2.7 Install framing members or otherwise stiffen ceiling panels/tiles to ensure that
deflection of each member/component of the ceiling system does not exceed the
tolerances for deflection, bow, twist and camber specified herein under deadlock
and loads imposed by MEP equipment and fixtures.
1.2.8 The Contractor shall provide all necessary secondary structural steel in addition
to the standard ceiling framing support systems. This secondary structural steel is
required to provide full supports to all ceiling profiles and assemblies. The
Contractor shall be fully familiar with the structural and MEP drawings and site
condition and note that secondary steel must:
a) Accommodate MEP on the assumption that ceiling systems may not be
hung from MEP assemblies and framing, and may be required to span
below, above or across MEP ducts and the like.
b) Accommodate the full height ceiling voids from ceiling profile to the
underside of the main structure. The Contractor must assume all sub-
frames and supports within this void shall be installed by the Contractor
unless specifically noted on the drawings.
The Contractor shall highlight at the time of tender if any further information is
required to allow for an accurate pricing of their secondary steel and standard
framing assemblies, otherwise it shall be deemed that the tenderer’s price shall
