Job Description

In this role, you’ll help grow clinical services area of Guardant Health’s biopharma business. You will be one of the key
business builders in US Europe, out meeting potential customers, sharing Guardant’s platform and capabilities and
building relationships for collaborations with Guardant for drug development.

You will use your existing network to share the use and applications of Guardant’s ctDNA based sequencing products,
Guardant360 and OMNI (others as launched) for clinical trial services. You’ll make new connections through networking,
introductions, conference attendance and other creative approaches.

You’ll guide and educate potential partners, whether biomarker researchers, translational medicine scientists or clinical
development teams, to extend existing partnerships or establish new ones using Guardant services and products for use
in early and late stage clinical trials. You will also support the Senior Director of BD in identifying new opportunities for
the Consortia and Referrals business of Guardant.

As well as being externally focused, you’ll be well connected internally to address customer needs, working across
functions to solve problems, find solutions and deliver an outstanding customer experience. Groups you’ll interact with
include Product Development, Clinical and Research Operations, Bioinformatics, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory
and Finance.

Collaboration is a key success factor. You’ll partner and problem solve with people across the research, clinical and
business groups, must be able to influence and shape opinions and help teams reach decisions and deliver on
customers’ needs.

You have worked in or with biopharma, sequencing or clinical research organizations, ideally a combination of all three.
You’ve developed and closed successful collaborations, and brought in repeat business from multiple customers.

You are independent and self-starting, pro-actively chase leads and opportunities, but also work with the team to bring
the best of the company to a customer.

You have a deep understanding of biopharma, oncology, diagnostics, genomics and clinical trials. You are well versed in
the science and understand the competitive landscape well.

You can build and service multiple leads simultaneously, balancing emerging relationships with on-going ones,
addressing needs on time.

You are able to tease apart customers’ needs and motivations, and can successfully influence them. You have strong
presentation skills, are good at problem solving and have a good analytic skillset too.

You are motivated to grow the business, not just your patch, and see the broader team succeed. You are able to
prioritize and focus on the important, not just the urgent.

In addition, you bring:

BA or BS, and an advanced degree, MBA or PhD


8+ years pharma/diagnostics/CRO business development experience

Maxfield Search is actively seeking a senior Business Continuity / Business Resilience Analyst or junior
BCM in the financial sector seeking the next step up in their career. This is a permanent position promising
opportunities for learning, growth and skill development.

Our client is an international and expanding banking corporation offering commercial banking services
seeks a new Business Continuity Manager to join their BCM team to manage and coordinate their EMEA
operations in this area of business. Working alongside senior management, the role would deal with both IT
and non-IT-related matters of incident management, business continuity and disaster recovery systems,
processes and frameworks. The Business Continuity Manager will also manage and mentor and more junior
Analyst.

Role Responsibilities

Conduction and coordination of business impact analyses for EMEA operations.


Assistance in production of business continuity plans.
Leadership of business continuity testing for regional branches.
Coordination of disaster recovering testing with non-EMEA branches.
Assistance of senior management during incidents through coordination of the Incident
Management Team.
Other matters of responsibility regarding the business continuity process.

Candidate Requirements

Demonstrable experience in management of business continuity/business resilience/disaster


recovery in an international financial institution.
Comprehensive understanding of business continuity processes, methodologies and industry
standards.
Ability to influence key decision makers based on clear and concise advice.
Flexible approach to working hours (particularly in the event of an incident).
Keenness to learn, adapt and grow as part of a role.
Ability to manage and execute multiple projects successfully.
Ability to prioritise workloads accordingly to meet objectives.
Strong written and spoken communication skills.
IT proficiency.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing Leicester based company as an International Business
Development Manager.

Client Details

Established over 30 years ago, our client is a privately owned business who holds a strong position in their
market; they pride themselves on the quality of their service and due to continued growth the company are
looking to recruit within their export team.

Description

As the International Business Development Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing
the current portfolio of overseas accounts, alongside prospecting for new business. Working with the
Chairman and Director your aim will be to increase the number of international distributors across agreed
countries.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday from either 9am to 5pm or 8:30am to 4:30pm, office
based in Leicester but with frequent travel overseas.

Ideally you will have some level of experience in export sales although this isn't essential.

Profile

Key skills and experience required:

Export experience would be beneficial although not essential

Experienced in some form of B2B sales

Local or commutable to the Leicestershire area in order to work in an office based role

High level of attention to detail is crucial

A tenacious, driven, passionate and enthusiastic approach

Brilliant rapport and relationship building skills

Business Development Manager to their team. With impressive turnover and a rich heritage, this

THE ROLE: As an International Business Development Manager, you be responsible for selling branded
British groceries into Retailers across the Africa regions. You will be responsible for overseeing 3 customer
service advisors who will largely take care of your admin. 50% of your time will be spent managing existing
business and 50% identifying new retail partners. You will sell largely direct to retail as well as managing
partner distributors and will hold responsibility over P&L and JBP with accounts.

THE PERSON: This is an ideal role for someone currently in the FMCG sector who doesn't have Export
experience but would relish the opportunity to gain Export and P&L exposure. You will need to have FMCG
experience, ideally account managing more than small independent accounts but you don't need prior P&L
responsibility. A willingness to travel is key, you will be in market on average 10 days per month. They seek
candidates who are strong negotiators, have a worldly vision, highly motivated and are genuinely motivated
to develop their career.
