Configuration Procedure iDirect modem 3000 series and
netmodem II+ - Rev. A
SCOPE: This document defines the instructions on how to configure and recover
your iDirect modem
PART ONE: How to configure your
1. What you need
a. Ethernet cross cable
b. iSite 7.0.2
i. you can find iSite tool 7.0.2 version on our FTP space:
IP Address: 83.137.56.16
Login: netmodem
Password: netmodem
Directory: Software/7.0.2/
File: iSite_7.0.2.zip
c. Firmware version 7.0.2
i. you can find firmware 7.0.2 version on our FTP space:

IP Address: 83.137.56.16
Login: netmodem
Password: netmodem
Directory: Software/7.0.2/
File: Remote_iNFINITI_7.0.2.zip if your modem is a 3000
series
File: Remote_2Plus_7.0.2.zip if your modem is a netmodem

2. How to download firmware into the modem
a. Connect into the modem with an Ethernet cross cable (see Appendix
A)
b. Connect to the modem using iSite (see Appendix B) and login in as

user (password: iDirect).
c. If you have a 3000 series router:
i. Click on icon and the “Download Package” window will

open
click on “Open” button, use the browser to search for the

7.0.2\Remote_iNFINITI directory and select remote-7_0_2.pkg
file
click on “Start” button and the package download will start.
After you see the “Done” message into Information tab,
wait 5 minutes, then go on with the options file
download.
WARNING: DO NOT RESET OR SHUTDOWN THE MODEM
AT THIS POINT
d. If you have a II+ netmodem:
i. Click on icon and the “Download Command Center” window

will open; click on “Select” button and using the browser
search for the Remote_2Plus directory and select
Remote_2Plus.ldr file.
Click on “Select All” button under columns “Compress?”,
“Download?” and “Erase?”, check “Defragment” box, like in the
following picture
and click on “Download” button.
After you see the “Done” message into Information tab,
wait 5 minutes, then go on with the options file
download.
WARNING: DO NOT RESET OR SHUTDOWN THE MODEM
AT THIS POINT
3. How to download options file into the modem
a. Use iSite (see Appendix B) and login into the modem as user
(password: iDirect), click on ; using the browser select Rxxxx.opt

file we sent you (where xxxx is the serial number of your iDirect
modem); a confirmation window, like the one below, will appear
click on “Yes” and on “Reset now” button when ask.

After the modem has rebooted it has new configuration.
PART Second: How to active your service on AM22, AM1, IS-1R, T12 Europe
To active your service on AM22, AM1, IS-1R, T12 Europe refer to “Activation
Procedure Standard Service - REV A.pdf” documentation available on our FTP
space.
To active your service on T12 Panamerica refer to “Activation Procedure service

on T12 Panamerica - REV A.pdf” documentation available on our FTP space.
Appendix A: How to connect your PC to the modem

You need to connect your PC to the iDirect modem with an ethernet cross cable
and set your lan card accordingly with your current IP plan (related to your iDirect
service).
For example, using Windows OS, you’ve to press the start button and choose
Control Panel, then proceed as shown in the following example.
Appendix B: How to connect to the modem by using iSite tool
Enter the directory where you unzipped iSite and launch it.
The iSite windows will open
Right click on icon and select “New…”; the icon
will appear; right click on it and select “Login”; into the login window enter
your modem IP address, enter:
- “iDirect” as password if you need to login in as user and check “user” box
- “P@55w0rd!“ as password if you need to login in as admin and check

“admin” box
a window like the following will appear:
you are in.
Appendix C: How to connect in telnet to the modem
a. After you have connected your PC to the modem (see Appendix A)

open a DOS window
i. Click on “Start” button, select “Run” and type cmd command;

a window like the following will open
type the command telnet <IP_address>, where IP_Address
is the IP of your modem.
Login in as user (password: iDirect)
Appendix D: Standard parameters
After a station is updated with the O.F. you received by our NOC, the DNS you
must use are:
- DNS1: 83.137.56.71
- DNS2: 83.137.56.72
Standard password setted on station are:
- user: iDirect
- admin: P@55w0rd!
