Nicholas teaches the Advanced Placement classes in the high school with confidence and a high level of content knowledge. He
continues to incorporate real world examples in his classroom instruction and encourages students to go further with their thinking and
ideas.

Nicholas plans his lessons with conceptual understandings and attention to details. His plans contain all the major components of a
lesson and include all the state, local, and national standards. He continues to create lessons with activities and content that flow well
together. He has developed excellent ways to transition between portions of the lessons and to maintain a realistic pacing for these
College Level AP classes.

Nicholas instructs his students in an engaging manner. He lectures and then changes the pace of the class by adding activities that
highlight the conceptual content.
He uses technology as he teaches to create good visuals to enhance his instruction.

Nick is continually assessing the higher level students to keep them on track for the AP College Board classes he is teaching. He works
with his cooperating teacher to discuss the performance of the students and where he can use this information to guide future
instruction. During the observations I have seen him give constructive feedback to students both in written and oral forms.

learning.
Nick has no problem keeping order in his classroom. The students respond well to his expectations and guidelines. He is very respectful
of student needs and throughout his lesson plans he has times allocated for student discussion and reflection. He is quite masterful at
active listening and gauges his next actions on student questions and responses.

Nick is a professional in the classroom. He is ready to receive feedback and constructive criticism in order to hone his teaching skills. He
is ethical and will make an excellent addition to any school staff.

Nick realizes the importance of student data as an instructional tool to gauge student progress. He will continue to document student
progress during this placement as he collects more evidence of learning.
