The island, with a population of just over 100,000 inhabitants, does not have major cities. The
island is divided into six districts.[15] Most of the island's population resides in or around the two
major city-like districts of Oranjestad (Capital) and San Nicolaas. Oranjestad and San Nicolaas
are both divided into two districts for census purposes only.[16] The districts are as follows:

 Oranjestad
 Paradera
 San Nicolaas
 Santa Cruz
 Savaneta
