Solo Prerequisites
Solo Eval Required Instruction Prior to Solo XCs

First & Local Solos Solo Flight Proficiency Criteria

‰‰ Meets FAR 61.87 requirements My student can solo when he/she:


‰‰ Student pilot certificate scanned into WinATP ‰‰ Makes a competent go/no-go decision given the conditions and
‰‰ Pass Solo Eval (Eval IP must log results in Whiteboard) any solo limitations
‰‰ Minimum 48 hours dual (at ATP, logged in Whiteboard) ‰‰ Accurately interprets in-flight ATIS, AWOS, or reported weather
and verifies within solo limits
‰‰ Pre-Solo Written complete and corrected to 100%
‰‰ Determines the location of all other traffic in the airport
‰‰ Required solo endorsements complete
environment and traffic pattern, and applies collision and
‰‰ Primary instructor completes warm-up with student prior to runway incursion avoidance procedures
authorizing each local solo
