Educational Technology is used by the learners and educators in homes, schools, businesses,

and other things. Educational technology, as defined, is the study of ethical practice of facilitating
learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological
processes and resources. It is also defined by the Association foe Educational Communications and
Technology (AECT) as the theory and practice of design, development, utilization, management, and
evaluation of processes and resources for learning.

Instructional materials utilized by the teachers as an aid in teaching such as the printed
materials, projected materials, charts, diagrams, multimedia, audio-visual materials, DLP, books,
computers etc , are materials help a lot not only in teaching but also in learning. They help the learners
easily understand the lesson and also in motivating them.

Technology is also a part of educational technology. We all know that our country is already
modernized, thus, learners are also affected, in short, they are also modernized. Hence, technology is
utilized in classrooms. The use of computers, tablets, internet, etc also help a lot in the learning because
it helps the learner easily do their lessons. For example, students can use their home computers and
internet to conduct research, participate in social media, email, play educational games, and stream
videos.

Educational technology’s impact in schools has been significant, advancing how students learn,
how teachers teach, and how efficiently and effectively educational services can be delivered. And in my
two years of observing in Lal-lo National High School, I can say that there is a great impact of Educational
Technology.

Lal-lo National High School is located at Centro, Lal-lo, Cagayan. It consists of 1624 students
from Grade VII to Grade X and 72 school personnel headed by the principal Mrs. Dolores P. Dela Cruz.
The school has a lot of facilities that can be utilized in learning such as the laboratories, TLE room, library
, mat mini-museum, araling panlipunan LRC, MAPEH LRC , Computer laboratory and many more,

I observed that there are a lot of Instructional Materials that are available in the school
especially the different technologies used by the teachers. And as we passed by the grade X building, I
observed that in every classroom, there is one white board and one DLP. I also observed that the
teaching staff of the Lal-lo National High School are has a unique strategies in teaching and I can say, as
a product of this school, that all of them are effective and efficient teachers.

Lal-lo National High School is a paragon of a well- practiced school in terms of educational
technology. And in this narrative report, I want to share what I have observed in my cooperating school,
the different materials and technologies utilized in the school, what are these materials made, in what
subjects these materials were used, what strategies did the teacher employ to facilitate learning and
also my overall impression about the learning resource center of the school.
