RATIONALE:
Republic Act No. 10742 or Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 provides that every
barangay, municipality, city and province shall conduct an annual activity to be known as the
Linggo ng Kabataan on the week where the 12th of August falls to coincide with the International
Youth Day.

Pursuant to IRR of RA 10742, also known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015,
there is a need to create a Committee on Environmental Protection, Climate Change Adaptation
(CCA), and Disaster Risk Reduction and Resiliency. The head of the committee proposed a
project regarding Solid Waste Segregation since it is one of the major problems in the barangay.

OBJECTIVES:
For the Katipunan ng Kabataan members aged 15 – 30 years old to:
 to unleash their potentials
 to discover who the future leaders are
 to develop awareness on how alarming climate change is
 to facilitate activities that will develop environmental protection awareness

PARTICIPANTS
The Linggo ng Kabataan shall be attended by Guests from Sangguniang Kabataan
Pambayang Pederasyon Officer(s) and barangay Katipunan ng Kabataan.

BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS:
An amount of Thirthy Thousand Pesos chargeable against SK funds will be expended to
cover the following:
Meal: 100 pax x Php 100.00 = 10,000.00
Snacks : 100 pax x Php 60.00 = 6,000.00
Materials Needed for the Games: 8 games x Php 620.00 = 4,960.00
Materials needed for the Certificates 110 pcs x Php 4.00 = 440.00
Token of Appreciation for the Speakers 2 Speaker x Php 250.00 = 500.00
Decoration(Tarpaulin) 9 Tarpaulins = Php 2,000.00
Paint 5 colors x Php 500.00 = 2,500.00
Paint Brush (Set) 6 Teams x Php 100.00 = 600.00
RESPONSIBILITY
The conduct of the Linggo ng Kabataan shall be the responsibility of the Sangguniang
Kabataan.
