Learning Outcome: By the end of this lesson children will be able to count, read, write and recognize the numbers
from 1 – 5.

The teacher will stick the days of the week on the white board, she will give the food that the caterpillar
ate for some of the children, while she is telling the story. Children who has the pictures of the food will
stick the picture on the board beside the day of the week and will also stick the correct number from the
magnetic numbers on the board.
Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)
Time: 10 min

Teacher will do two activities, for two different levels.


Small

Writing activity (High): Teacher will give the children the activity and explain it, the activity is counting the
objects and writing the number in the circle. Children will count the number of objects shown and write the
number represent on the blanc circle drawn on the worksheet.
Matching activity (Low): Teacher will give the children the activity and explain it, the activity is counting the
objects and matching it with the correct number. Children will count how many objects in each column,
then they will match them with the right number shown on the left.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)


Math corner: Teacher will provide different shapes for the children to count and classify them. Children will
count the shapes and classify them according to colors.

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)


Science corner: Teacher will ask the children to count how many leaves they have got from their outdoor
activity last week. Children will count the leaves they have in the corner.

Independent Experience(small group activity 3)


Reading corner: Teacher will provide stories for the children. Children will read and count how many
objects in the page of the story book.

Closing
5 min

After finishing from the activities I will play the cleanup song so they go back to the carpet and to do a review
